Indeed, democracy has been subverted and given us votes based on deception, lies and misinformation. And yet, despite this, people still want us to accept the outcome knowing what we now know. Now that all the issues have shaken out of the process and we know what it entails, and we know what the truth is (even if there are some who choose to ignore it), it makes sense to hold an informed referendum. It didn't make much sense to ask the public for their opinion on something for which there was no plan for, and had many options (hard brexit, soft brexit, no deal, customs union etc.), and no review of the consequences had been made and no one knew how it would play out. People bark "leave means leave", which shows remarkable ignorance of the fact there are many different ways to leave, and none of them solving various other issues we have to solve.

For decisions that cause profound changes. A government can be re-elected in 4 years or not. A change of constitution e.g. because of some fundamental rights requires in most countries a 2/3 majority. In my view, a Brexit would be such a profound change and I'm sure in Germany it would not be possible to resign via a referendum. Our Federal Constitutional Court would immediately put a stop to the politicians. Because a small majority is not a voice of the people but only a snapshot. And I think the Brexiteers are very afraid of a new vote now that the cards are on the table. But that's not the question that was raised in this video. The question was: How could such a mood with misinformation and missing information be generated.

Why would this information exist? it's like me saying "I know what you did in 2016 because I pulled your car logs". Also, "by any company that tracks the channel", how do you think GPS works? Only the boat on which the receiver was installed would have access to that data. You can't just track random vehicles you don't own. The owner of the boat would have to be complicit. This would mean they stored or broadcast it and someone stored it on a server for 3 years, and then relinquished it to random C4 reporters.
