You have to ask yourself, if they abused the inside and outside of the car to this extent, what do you think the engine service must have been? You know they didn't change the oil as recommended, or do any other services to maintain the mechanical aspects of the car. It might look nice now, but buyer beware of the service issues ahead.

This is a few days of labor. I've worked at dealerships and have also seen entire carpets and even dashes removed for a deep clean. Usually a vehicle as bad as this one will go straight to the auction because of labor and cleaning material cost. Unless of course the resale value can cushion the costs involved. People can do that kind of filth in as little as 2 months. It's disgusting to have to be the detailer who has to clean a vehicle like that.

They do have good retail value, But trying to sell that would be hard, a non smoker would pick up on it in seconds, and walk away. Nothing and I mean nothing can extract that smell, it gets in carpets headlining seats behind the dash, air con system everywhere. I know people who have paid £1k + to get rid of the stink. Money wasted!!.

Yes it will! You just have to know what you're doing and it goes beyond just a detail. You can argue all you want but until you've been a professional detailer for more than 20 years then I might listen. Only speak from experience when trying to get folks to listen to you. 😉

The sprayer stopped on my unit. I have a shop vac too I use but it’s NOISY as hell. I need headphones. I use a separate sprayer sometimes and vac it up. Works ok

But even after all that, it will still smell. Been a valetet/ detailer over 30 yrs. You just cannot remove tobacco smells, even with aromatec!!, unless you plan to keep the car yourself. Dealerships won't pay for a deep clean, independent garages will just laugh. They want a top retail clean for £30/50 max, and believe me they will pick faults with everything even though they know its a " shitter" they will want to pay nothing. Valeting is hard, and is soul destroying.

If someone is so undemanding that he was unable to clean the car, how much do you think he dealt with maintenance. And this is a car that we know is sensitive to proper maintenance. The car turned out really nice, but it is probably mechanically a total financial loss.

Ya should have ripped out the carpet, console, all plastic around doors n glass, and maybe the headliner. With about 2 days of an OZONE MACHINE. Now lift it n pressure wash with mineral spirits. That was way too nasty. Maybe they want their home done also?! 💯🗽🇺🇸
