Good video, although I find it weird to say that people should not make their own kicks since it gives you a lot of knowledge and also the most possible options to fine tune your kick.

Around 1:53 the video confuses me. You had cut out the end of the kick after freezing but when you show auto filter the part you cut is back. Can you explain this step, as I cannot follow moving forward from 1:53. Please and thanks

I think I really have a problem with using kick samples. Is it NORMAL to use kick samples most of the time? How many time do you waste for making your own kicks?

Whether you make your own or use samples as long as you get a good kick for your track is all that counts

How come you dont cut the lows of the rumble in the reverb.. doesnt that cuase phasing issues?

I fix it by moving the phase in the video (moving the waveform)

"don't try to create your own kicks, just get a good sample" that's a bit difficult when the sample pack you're demonstrating with costs 60 DOLLARS! i would love to have great samples to work with, but then i wouldn't have to look this video up in the first place.
