That was a great video for beginners. Then they will just have to spend countless hours learning how to factor in defection, cut induced throw & spin induced throw how much draw how much follow along with how much spin and get used to and comfortable with all the angles. Took me 1000s of hours. Cheers.

Your videos are awesome and I'm learning a lot. I hope you can make a video about how much spin to use if it's necessary and would back hand english be better than front hand english or vice versa. Thanks again for these videos.

One of the best videos I´ve watched, Excellent presentation. I find judging the ball´s travel with extreme side and top, especially over distance, one of the hardest shots in the game, when you´re trying to keep the swerve/deflection/squirt to a minimum - but you still know there will be some swerve, but how much is hard to be sure about. .For me anyway.

Excellent. You demonstrated how softly you can hit the ball to give it time to take the spin.

This makes a lot of sense, especially the steering wheel analogy. There are a lot of videos where the teacher mentions 10 different ways to get to the cue ball to the next object ball without actual visual examples. I would like to see someone toss out 2 object balls and the cueball then play them numerically with what would be their shot choice and why. It is simple, but I think you get it. Real, 30 second shot clock, decisions....then sink both object balls. Thanks, sorry that was so wordy.

Thank you for watching and I appreciate your feedback. I will do best to bring you videos that can highlight exactly what you're looking for. Be sure to check around my channel because I do have videos in which I explain the path of the cue ball I choose to take and why.

Fantastic video! One question. Where do I set up the balls to practice something like this? I can’t tell exactly where you have them set. Older eyes. :)

So when does the 30degree rule apply if the tangent line is 90 degrees??
@thedarksidebilliards
@thedarksidebilliards 9 ай бұрын
So the 30 degree rule only applies when the cue ball is rolling on contact with the object ball and always at lower speeds. When you hit a ball hard the cue ball will likely be sliding which will cause it to follow the tangent line further before continuing with the top or bottom English.

Well, yes, you can get anywhere on the table without side spin -- when the table is completely empty.
@thedarksidebilliards
@thedarksidebilliards 9 ай бұрын
I do agree you will need side spin. The part I argue is how much is actually necessary? With proper pattern and cue ball travel, you can run out pretty easy without too much side spin. Thanks for watching.
