I appreciate that! Thank you, I have been pulled away by my business but hopefully I am going to get some more coming now. I'll be updating my page more often next week. I have a Masters and a Captain's team competing in Vegas for Worlds.

I used to play A LOT!!! Now I have so much on my plate I don't even practice anymore. I come up with the videos and just shoot them without any edits. I think that makes it a little more realistic anyways so I do understand your point. I hope you and others can really benefit from the videos anyways. I do understand the game well and love sharing that information with others.

I know a lot of players that overlook the simplicity of knowing your tangents and how to alter the line the cue ball will take. I see way too many try to do extreme left amd right thinking that's going to make a difference, when in reality it is so difficult to pot and get the right line you want, when a simple draw or follow with slight left or right is the better option.

What kind of cue do you have? Is it affordable or would you recommend something else for a beginner?

When you used them English, is your contact/aim changing to the target or remains the same?

I have a little trick for you when you have a inside spin shot like the one on the 5 ball just hit the object ball in the face. Your welcome 😁

I appreciate the tip. I will say with most higher deflection shafts that works but with a predator shaft (like the one I play with) you’ll hit the ball straight into the rail.

You are an excellent teacher! That was so good and really helped a lot. THANK YOU! When I use English I often miss the shot because I am confused on where to aim my cue on the cueball when I move left or right? If I play center I have no problems pocketing balls. The way I aim is I put my cue on the center of the cue ball and aim "that point" to a "point" on the object ball.(so I don't really employ an imagined ghost ball.) My question is is if I move my cue to the left or right on the cue ball do I aim that new point point on to the obeject ball because now I'm not on the center of the cue ball. And does the aim (contact) point on the object ball have to change as well? Hope that makes sense?

Thank you for you comments. I do appreciate it. To answer your question without seeing how you stroke is a little difficult but I will say you should practice straight in shots using left and right English. This allows you to see what adjustment is needed to pocket a ball with English. Then start practicing other shots with the English of your choosing and see if you can make these adjustments with angled shots. Straight in shots tell you so much about your stroke so I did make a video about straight in shots. Check it out and let me know how it goes.

Thank you so much..can you tell me do you use back hand or front hand English?
@thedarksidebilliards Жыл бұрын
I don't use either. I actually line up the shot while standing. When I bend down to shoot, I drop right into line and English that I choose to shoot with. This is a hard concept without the experience behind it, so I usually instruct newer players to experiment using backhand English with the understanding that eventually you should aim and align everything before even dropping down on the ball.
