Lawmakers are growing concerned about how propaganda has eroded support for Ukraine among the public, as well as in the House of Representatives. Anne Applebaum, staff writer for The Atlantic and a Pulitzer-prize winning historian, joins Ali Velshi to discuss how China, Russia, and other countries have used influence peddling and propaganda tactics to sway Americans to support their cause, while undermining the values of freedom and democracy at home. "The autocratic narrative is pretty clear that autocracy is stable and safe; democracy is divisive, degenerate, and declining," Applebaum says. "Those in the U.S. who say these things are arguing, in essence, for a change to our politics."

If this clearly explained and multiple point arguments of Anne don't ring the alarm bells of democracy in it's closely as possible true form, being the only system we currently know that promotes true freedoms, that assumingly we all seek. The understanding of the word hope needs to be drastically altered because it's true meaning will die with it. I am not sure, but I suspect the nowadays grown lopsided capitalist system is the real enemy here...just glad, seeing my age, got not way too much longer to go. Having my time and experience among humans so far, I have to come to conclude, that I am part of the human race, but for many years now very reluctantly and in combination of high levels of embarrassment. The only tears I will shed are for gaia herself, the animal kingdom, flora and fauna. Those are the ones that truly gave me pleasurable and enjoyable experiences in my existence.
