I just watch to break down of Rhude $900 Swim Trunks and then I get recommended this video about the brand. The guy that did the breakdown talked about how cheaply made the garment was and it's actually only worth $20.

Yeah it’s the perception of how the consumer views the brand. That’s why getting an influencer to wear a product can increase the cost. They say Louis Vuitton bags aren’t worth as nearly as how much they price it at as well

Just here to say that most of the time garments cost a lot due to overhead. When you buy a coated canvas product from LV it's not $400 because that's the "worth" but how else do you pay employees, rent for all your stores etc while turning a profit to make more stuff? I'm sure the same applies for Rhude you cannot grow a brand big enough by charging a tad over what it costs to make. Things are only worth what people will pay for them, or your brand just fails anyway. Not everything is worth the big ticket though AT ALL lol
