Richard Jakpa was also in charge of John Mahama's personal security and was given an official bungalow at Cantonments. He was also the Chairman and CEO of Las Adventuras Co. Ltd., which was paid to undertake the Akora Storm Drain project @ Swedru in the Central Region. The project was never completed.
