Eminem produced most of his own biggest hits. He's an underrated producer, who writes his own lyrics. He produced "The Eminem show" himself, which went diamond, his most streamed, most famous album to date. He also produced for other people, and wrote a lot of Dr dres songs for him. Luis resto is Eminem's main producer not Dre like a lot of people are brainwashed to believe. Dr Dre has a lot of ghost producers and uses mostly samples where he just takes someone else's music Tweeks it a little, stamps it, puts his name on it and takes all the credit. The bass brothers and Eminem on production is what made his first 3 albums classics not Dre. Whenever your listening to an Eminem song check the song credits for who produced it, you'll see what I mean. The bass brothers (F.B.T) made the best version of Eminem with their production

The beat was stolen and Dre ended up getting Eminem sued for copyright infringement. The first album the song"my name is" Dre sampled from labi siffres song "I got the".

Rubin didn't "almost ruin" Shady's career, he brought a different perspective. God forbid an artist does something different. Crazy most people just shit on Eminem for these albums not being the same as his old ones. I bet if he sounded like old Eminem they'd say that he needs to "get with the times." I think this channel needs better narration and stronger argumentative aspects if you truly feel that Rubin "sabotaged" Eminem.

MMLP 2 was a great album and was actually received very well. It didn’t hit the popularity that Recovery had but I think most fans appreciate MMLP2 much more. The reason Revival failed was because Em decided to go woke. You can see on the track record of almost everything that went forced wokeness and it failed miserably. I do agree though I think Dr Dre’s style works more with Eminem. Em is extremely technical with his lyrics so having a producer who is a perfectionist helps with that. Rubin is more free flowing with his approach.

I've been a fan of Em's since his first album came out, but I always find myself so confused over the hate for Revival. I thought it was really good 🤷🏽♂️
@bruh16407 ай бұрын
probably because it was a different sounding eminem. that everyone wasn't used to or prepared for. i honestly like how em sounds completely different in each of his albums. framed,castle,in your head, believe, chloraseptic, walk on water, tragic endings are my favourite revival songs.
@bett4316 ай бұрын
Most people like an artists for specific things, Revival tried to give everyone something to like which ends up meaning that one person who is a fan of one specific thing likes maybe 2 or 3 tracks. And an Album where you like maybe 2 or 3 songs, and someone else likes 2-3 completely different songs, will still have you two agreeing that only 2 or 3 songs are good, which makes it a subjectively bad album.
@Merlaut7156 ай бұрын
Remind Me, Heat, and Need Me are the only Revival tracks I don't like. Rick produced the former two. Need Me should've been on a Pink album.

cuz youre bias and wont listen to other criticisms
@mikeygraves165 ай бұрын
@Spectrum0122 Are...are you being serious? See I learned long ago not to make confident statements like that about a person I've never talked to or met, because usually you don't just end up being wrong, you also end up looking stupid asf 😂 I said i had been a fan of his since his first album, just like I'm a fan of a lot of other artists. Being a fan of someone doesn't mean you pledge blind loyalty to them. I won't "listen to other criticisms"? You're right. Because I'm an adult who doesn't need someone else's opinion for me to decide if I like something or not. But on top of that, here's where you look like some immature, naive teenager: I literally can't stand 'Encore' 'Relapse', 'Kamikaze', and both 'Music To Be...A & B'. I think they're pretty much garbage 🤷🏽♂️ But yeah, you hit the nail on the head bro...I'm so biased 🤣🤣🤣

Nahhh, MMLP2 was the last time that Em put out a truely creative album. Brilliant piece or work

It’s crazy to think it’s been over 22 years since Eminem dropped his last classic album- the Eminem show

Some ppl will say recovery. I personally liked relapse. He was dark and hilarious on that one
@jessicarichter64368 ай бұрын
@@WesleyWilkins-qf2kyI’m one of those people. Recovery absolutely is a classic to me it really helped me through similar struggles he faced & it’s full of motivational bangers start to end no skips. Plus it was last album all over MTV, the radio & KZbin here in UK also was during his Era making 🔥 with Wayne on No love & drop the world, he bested 3 goats on forever, huge hits love the way you lie & monster with riri, rapgod def a classic single. Love kamikaze album too. Relapse def is cult classic amongst fans. Eminem show is Ems Magnus Opus but it isn’t his last classic by any means to most hiphop fans around the world.

@jessicarichter6436 The only em albums I really just haven’t cared for were MMLP2 and revival. Largely because of the production. I like recovery. He had some club type hits on there. 25 to life is my absolute fav on there. But relapse.. songs like same song and dance and stay wide awake.. and the other more darker content. Even beautiful

The rock influenced sound worked for Em sometimes. White America is in my top 5 favorite Em songs.

Literally everyone sleeps on MMLP2 and Revival. MMLP2 is just fantastic, and Revival took time to grow, but the lyricism is absolutely incredible throughout the entirety x

It's really difficult being an Eminem fan where the stuff that's most successful tends to be the stuff I dislike. MMLP2 is terrific, and the tracks Rhyme or Reason and So Far are great.

I enjoyed th MMLP2... Revival had 1 track i really like... Guts over fear .. but thats about it. No offence to Em. Idk why people talk sh about relapse. Relapse flows are legendary. 3am? Stay wide awake? Everything on that album was sick af

I'll admit, I've been a huge fan of Rubin's since the 90s, when I realised he produced a lot of my favourite music from my whole life. He's a big reason why I got into audio engineering and eventually producing music for others. I got his book the week it came out. I read about 40 pages and gave up. I realised he's a wishy washy hippy with no real knowledge to impart on anybody. He was lucky and was around the right people at the right time. He was willing to put his efforts behind pushing a musical culture that had not been presented accurately on recordings at the time. He made a lot of exceptional albums letting artists be artists. He's not a music producer, he's a musician producer. But yeah, The Creative Act: A Way of Being is an overly pretentious and utterly useless guide to living your life in a creative way. If you watch a couple of long interviews with him, you'll hear the entire book in them.

The problem wasn't Rick. Em didn't know who tf he was then. He had seen success as a mature artist doing emotionally infused music and seemingly reinvented himself but he decided to say fuck that and rap with that accent, try to make radio friendly songs, rap a million miles a minute and (as per the norm, rap about rapping) and "lost himself" along the way. He eventually landed on the 'rappin about rappin and being the greatest' content and that's where he's been since. For two giant segments of his career, he had no consistent identity and no beats can fix that.
@GeorgeTheRapper28 ай бұрын
Wait Rick Rubin can’t make music like AT ALL? They just pay him to tell people if he likes something or doesn’t like something? Somebody fire him, I’m a big Eminem fan but almost all of Revival was trash.

I respect the contributions of Rubin to rock AND hip hop, but I've been saying his work with Em was lackluster at best. They peaked with MMLP2 (not even all of it) and shoulda left it at that tbh.
