i remember Dantes/Doanel say that "rioter" once said in twitter/reddit that loserQ is indeed exist for in order for the players to have an even 50-60% winrate. This is to prevent the player from getting the illusion that they can move up and stay at their current rank. @@yohansin3430 Yeah. But many companies do this. There's no reason to believe Riot doesn't. Besides there are some really sus things happening. For example, boosters are SO obvious, but they never get banned. It would be really easy to automate the process yet riot does nothing about it. People suddenly changing their Flash key and then going on a 9 game win streak should be automatically banned or at the very least instantly MMR boosted to a point where the booster won't harm the game experience for everyone else.

I feel your pain trying to make people belive in hidden behaviours, having over a decade of system design experience, and yet my techie friends and lot others don't want to believe in outcomes of software design behaviour patterns that come with such impmentations so non tech people will straight refuse it and take word of rioters over yours. Riot has very good reason to manipulate games to keep players hooked. There's more code that takes these decisions than the code supporting core features. If it were blunt dynamics that most users think, then the game would be too predictable and become boring.

Yes humans make mistakes. And we should learn from those. Being a public figure and wishing someone death is by definition the same as a non-public person doing the same. However being a public person you have to anticipate, that ur drama gets public. The same how I would vent about players with friends in a video game vs complaining to coworkers on the job about other coworkers and the boss finds out. Your boss would probably fire you too if you openly wished someone death. He was in a very big (and public) League of Legends-centered server, using "RIOT" in his name, it was far from a private conversation. Even then, he wasn't criticized for saying he disliked T1, he literally said that he would be happy if he died from cancer. Nobody is saying he can't voice his personal opinions but at least he should have a filter on what he says. Try typing that in a League match and see how long your account lasts without a punishment. It's only fair Riot holds their employees to the same standard they hold all players.

Great way to advertise how toxic riot environment can be just as their name apart from making a game and probably firing a lot of vetern devs that made initial core and are nowhere to be found these days. As a professional, I'd never wish to work in a company that can not differentiate between individuals' professional abilities and someone's ruined personal time. Everyone is allowed to vent at some point in their lives. Not all days are okay, and when they judge someone's behaviour years ago, it's a real red flag It doesn't mean they are not culturally fit to work in a professional environment or have no sense of responsibility. Riot just happens to make an environment that triggers it faster than other games. In that case, they need real help from the ethics board and relevant people who can co-relate toxicity originating from the organization itself. Go ahead, Riot HR - blacklist me too for spilling some insights! Triggered yet? I guess so :)
