In Switzerland the paint is really thick and like glued onto the asphalt. It lasts years and years. They don’t spray it but spread it with trowels.

Same in usa it's a reflective gluey tape kind of thing that is raised and stays forever, no idea where this is filmed
@luisdepinhofalcao75113 жыл бұрын
You are right. In Switzerland and everywere else. They showed two solutions. One is using (usualy) acrylic paint. The other is the thermoplastic paint which is thicker, more expensive but last longer. Each solution has is pros and cons. The video should be corrected.
@KMon1111IND3 жыл бұрын
Same her in India. It's like powder when dry they heat it up to melt it and spread it using a machine. This thing lasts more than the asphalt itself.

I've worked with people that almost never use tape, and some that use it a lot. It has it's pro's/cons. Typically, people who say they never use tape, have almost exclusively worked on roads. For some of the things they're doing in the video, tape is 100% the right tool for the job. There's plenty of other things that make me raise an eyebrow, but I'm not here to throw shade.

*Motorcycle riders be warned:* Paint kills. Road paint, especially because of the added reflective beads, is very slippery. It does not offer the same level of grip as asphalt. They don't add abrasive to restore grip because it would wear the paint more quickly. Stay off the lines.
