Funny how although Standard Oil had a monopoly, it was the most efficient and cheapest way of extracting oil, transporting it, refining it and distributing it. Yes, advisors can be quite resourceful, I remember starting my investing journey a few months before the pandemic and I was able to avoid making almost any losses then, because my advisor got back to me with the market analysis weeks before and I had already moved all of my funds to stable assets.
