About Doc in the cinematic, if you pause at the right frame, you can see that his ballistic face cover has Deimos' bullet still in it. Which basically means that his helmet also got an upgrade, and that the scars on his face is most likely glass shards from the ballistic cover

So, I may be looking at this from too much of a 'realism' factor, but the armor Mira was testing looked like soft body armor which, I would assume, all rainbow ops are wearing by default without Rooks support. If that is the case, it would only be rated for handgun calibers, so a rifle would go straight through it, even Deimos' revolver most likely. Rooks armor plates are either hardened steel or ceramic, thus being stronger and able to withstand hits from larger calibers and rifle rounds, so that would eliminate the need for his armor to need an upgrade, he simply just isnt there and/or Rainbow doesn't naturally use Rook's armor away from him. If this isn't the case, especially considering Rook's cinematic only talks about stopping .357 magnum, then it would make sense that rifle rounds, as well as Deimos' .44 magnum would go through the armor and would explain the upgrade. Overall though, I think Ubi does a good job with the operators uniforms and cosmetics, but the design is a little confusing considering they apparently don't really have any real ballistic protection without Rook's armor. I'm sure it's hard to have gameplay always match cosmetics, but it would be kinda cool if they looked like they were wearing less armor to begin with, but Rook armor gave a visual change to a plate carrier or something. That's probably asking too much. He's definitely one of the most balanced OP's in game now, and I'm happy with where he is.

Notice that all three initial defenders we see have the clear face shields. They probably upgraded the makeup of those as well, to at least slow the different ammo better. Addresses why Doc survived as well.

There is few things I thought about this. First is that I don't think we can definitively say that the round went through Doc's Visor, as the gun used by Deimos is a .44 Magnum and there are plenty of NIJ III-A visors that can stop the round and the impact looks exactly like that. Additionally, even the most basic ceramic plate, which is what Rook uses is capable of easily stopping a .44, its possible that Deimos just assumed he hit outside of the armor etc. especially since the guns tested to break the armor were rifle rounds and not pistol rounds.

The .44 Vendetta is meant to be using overpressure rounds, as evidenced by its excessive destruction capabilities in-game. Probably custom tungsten penetrator cores as well.

The theory that Harry survived because of the Rooks armor makes no sense. When he was killed, the bullet went through the chair and blood spurted out. You can't see at his T-shirt that he was wearing a vest either. What makes me wonder is how Doc survived.

Shot wasnt on center and grazed the side, not hit him head on. That and there ARE bullet resistant visors that can put up a damn good fight against even 44. Magnum. So even if deimos was packing fancy rounds that together shouldve have kept him fine, minus a new scar

@@lynnrose12 I'm pretty sure that in one scene you can see that the bullet was shot between his stomach and upper body. There was also a red stain (his blood) on his T-shirt. As I said, you can't tell from his T-shirt that he was wearing a vest. A vest is not as thin as a sheet of paper. Why would Deimos go to the trouble of going to Harry so as not to kill him? If he wants to kill Team Rainbow. Also, I think some operators are corrupt and secretly working with Deimos because you can't see some of them, like Jäger, Echo and many others.
