Disney need to use this movie as a wakeup call. Seriously. When you let an actor who knows what the fans want, and an director/writer who wants to just be fun and entertaining and you let them do what they want, you will almost always get a natural, memorable high quality product. This had the 6th highest opening weekend and the 1st highest R-rated opening weekend ever. That's a massive accomplishment that needs to not go unnoticed by Disney

Problem is Disney did that with thor 4. So it rlly comes down to the collaboration of the correct director, right actor and good writer all together

Honestly, i haven't gone to the movies in 6 years. But i had to go see this in theaters. This movie is what i thought the first 2 Deadpool movies were gonna be like, it was perfect, & they really did save the best for last (if u know what i mean, i can't believe they finally did it).

I just wish Disney realized for future movies that the balance of story vs action scenes in this movies are great and they should continue that with future movies. Action is so important to these superhero movies and we dont get enough of them in most Marvel movies.
@ofnir123
@ofnir123 4 ай бұрын
Absolutely agreed! I love superhero movies but it's such a drag when you get 1h30 of buildup for one or two action scenes of 1-2 minutes. I mean, the opposite isn't better either, but there has to be a balance.
@GunsNwars1997

@@ofnir123 It's kind of the Rocky/old Star Wars formula you get your story out first then deal with the glitz and glamour of fight scenes whether in the middle end/both or some sprinkled here and there. But that formula fits certain movies and certain types of storytelling but I think the fight scene in the car got a little too much for me like it was great but I felt I had seen a lot of fighting at that point to feel like oh okay i'd like a breather for a little bit longer before we get into another fight. All in all though I did love this movie

@bradleyhartman577
@bradleyhartman577 3 ай бұрын
@@Jonoridge 1) Nicholson won an Oscar for a monolog and a grand total of 11 minutes of screen time for A Few Good Men. Sometimes it's not about the amount of dialog they get to "sink their teeth into" and more about their presence and the cumulative effect they have on the film (or the film series, as we saw with The Return of the King's haul). 2) Yes, it's still a longshot, but part of the humor in the push--the joke that would be 100% on-brand for Reynolds and Deadpool--is that there is this whole Oscar-bait lobbying campaign that leads people like DeCaprio to go on a 25 year odyssey for their little golden statue.

Ryan said something interesting here... "these movies thrive on scarcity"... he is completely right. If they had made a Deadpool movie every two or three years... it would have gotten boring and annoying REALLY quick, but there is a lot of spacing between them, it gives us time to breath, to appreciate the jokes and for the movies to percolate around the net and then... die down the memory a little a leave us to develop that "nostalgic" feeling. And when they come back... we are prepared for a new one, even if it isnt really different from the others, because we "suffering" from the lack of those movies.

6:23 Ryan immediately understood that the host had crossed a line and dropped a spoiler!😊 To be a little fair though, I think the Madonna song was used in at least one of the trailers. Then again some people even avoid trailers in order to be completely “unspoiled” 🤷🏾‍♂️

This movie proves that star power still has pull if paired with the right role and script. Yo go to the movie because its Deadpool and Wolverine but also you go to the movie because it's Reynolds and Jackman. I would so love to see them pair up but in a full serious movie.

Deadpool did all the usual marvelism of late - overblown fights, too high stakes, endless cameos/tie ins - but stuck the landing because it had fleshed out characters we cared about and a heartfelt story inside of all the comedy
