Disney need to use this movie as a wakeup call. Seriously. When you let an actor who knows what the fans want, and an director/writer who wants to just be fun and entertaining and you let them do what they want, you will almost always get a natural, memorable high quality product. This had the 6th highest opening weekend and the 1st highest R-rated opening weekend ever. That's a massive accomplishment that needs to not go unnoticed by Disney

People who say this kind of stuff, I swear they barely watch any movies. There's really not much to this movie for Hugh to sink his teeth into as an actor, it's mostly one-liners. I enjoyed it for what it was, but no actor is winning an Oscar for their performance.
@bradleyhartman5775 ай бұрын
@@Jonoridge 1) Nicholson won an Oscar for a monolog and a grand total of 11 minutes of screen time for A Few Good Men. Sometimes it's not about the amount of dialog they get to "sink their teeth into" and more about their presence and the cumulative effect they have on the film (or the film series, as we saw with The Return of the King's haul). 2) Yes, it's still a longshot, but part of the humor in the push--the joke that would be 100% on-brand for Reynolds and Deadpool--is that there is this whole Oscar-bait lobbying campaign that leads people like DeCaprio to go on a 25 year odyssey for their little golden statue.
