Hello everyone!
In this new video from Pedal to the Bottom, we present you with an overview of driving the Citroën C5 X.
The interior of the car is well insulated for noise, but not in an unusual way. You may find it quieter than other cars like the Mazda6 and Toyota Camry, and perhaps a bit less so than the Škoda Superb. Of course, the test unit had double-glazed windows.
Cornering behavior is good. The body rocks but doesn't feel wobbly, and the C5 X handles corners well, even as heavy as this 225bhp hybrid.
However, the brakes are not designed for intense sports driving. But it's not something the typical C5 X buyer is likely to care about. What's important is that it brakes well, maintaining good stability, even if you brake hard in corners.
The Citroën C5 X is a comfortable car. It rides smoothly, the seats are comfortable, and the suspension does a good job filtering out unevenness in the road like the undulations or curves common on fast roads and highways.
On the plug-in hybrid version of the C5 X, the shock absorbers have variable hardness. There are three levels: Comfort, Normal and Sport that are linked to the driving modes: Comfort in Comfort mode, Normal in Hybrid and Electric modes, and Sport in Sport mode. I haven't noticed big differences between them.
We tell you all this and much more in this video.
We hope you like it!
