Our God is clearly a God who wants to bring out the best in people, but I do wonder why life has the complexity it has now. I do not see how I do not deserve to be saved, nor why I would be part of the Gods chosen, but I am grateful I know about God his existence and know I will be saved. But why me, why not another? You see. . It is a weird situation, I try to experience more control in my life by acknowledging the real control lies beyond my power. I acknowledge my God to know best and hope I will have more understanding one day why God allows certain things to happen. I thank God for revealing himself to me. Be blessed by the blood and by the name of Jesus Christ, amen and glory to the almigthy God!

Bryan, In the interest of honesty and not agenda, ... Say that the versus you listed are ultra literal in that way. Though many other verses can be shown as being descriptive from a phenomenological perspective in first person point of view from Earth that can comport with contemporary cosmological precepts, one has to ask... Granting the conspiratorial understanding of flat Earth adherence which includes modern secular intelligence's concerted effort to conceal that the Earth is known to be flat... along with the staged moon landing and other such sensationalism, the powers-at-be have obviously deceived all of humanity in order to propagate the evolutionary paradigm -or they have been deceived themselves... ... Let's say all that is true, what possible glory to God is going to come from an obstinate insistence of something that is inconsequential in validating God's existence since the supposed deception has already completely succeeded in being the default standard cosmological model? Case and point... your post to this video has simply injured the greater consideration and seriousness of Dr. Lutzer's (or anyone else's in Christianity) treatise as if you are actually attempting to try to nominalize it to the level that Flat-Earth theory is already nominalized. In all earnestness and consideration, you have actually come in here fulfilling the manic stereotype and actually served the secular consensus. I only say this because its seriously what is needed in the consideration of these matters. If the Earth really is flat, it makes no difference because it will be revealed only in the ultimate conclusion. The truth is, we only really know what mankind has bumbled around discovering with his presuppositions like the keystone cops through the epistemological means that God has given anyway. And if (Since) the Bible is God's revelatory narration of occurrences that man... (who is fleeting like grains of sand in a landfill) ...has gone through, it should be taken seriously (literally and figuratively based upon actual genre) because if it is simply didactic learning like other ancient texts, it's not going to matter anyway. I say this because you need to start talking to your colleagues in this rational manner - please... because in this intermediary era, anything else is actually dishonoring God which is the opposite of what you would say is your intention. Soli deo Gloria

He forgot to mention what it says in Colossians 2:15-23 after the verse he mentioned on the disciples still keeping the Law. I wonder why. ;)
@AjNotsri
@AjNotsri 10 жыл бұрын
Colossians 2:15 taken in context is talking about the oral law and customs that was added by the rabbis to Gods Law which is found within all scripture and we know all scripture is God Breathed.The Rabbis created the talmud which is a commentary on what God really said in the scriptures. Colossians chapter 2 actually says do not worry about those who judge you in regarding (keeping) the feasts it does not say do not worry about those who judge you in not regarding the feasts or food and drink offerings. To regard something means to acknowledge it and do it. Gods law stands that is why Christ had to come in the first place. Do not let false teachers tell you God's law was done away with or you do not have to try and keep it that is a lie straight from hell.

1:40:10 a note on philosophy of . . so tired of correcting the world at large on this, it just means that you have reserve your judgement, it doesn't mean there is no absolute truth . . thus iapplaude the simple description that it is the age of rethinking, nothing more nothing less, which has come after modernism, but i realize it has certain themes, and many of which could lend to said conclusions about it, but i prefer to let philosophical precepts be as neutral as possible, so we can appreciate the inquiry they facilitate, and not conclude that they immoral or whatnot . .

i appreciate ther idea of Apporia put forth by Derrida, where the is an embracement of or suspension of making a conclusion about something, remaining in the state flux or inquriy, but i prefer to think that it means holding on to that state for as long possible, as it were, where as society always teaches to make quick decisions, but i guess this is the philospher in me, see i think we should meditate on ideas more, andbe less quick to judge! each one of us makes judgements all day everyday about everything in our existence, but when it comes to philosophical things, to concepts, to ideas, i believe we want to remain as open as possible for as long as psoosibel, it has nothing to do with knowing turth and the word of God it has everyhting to do with having an open mind towards life and knowledge,a curious, contemplative attitude towards learnig. sadly this view seems to be very much overlooked but the world at large, theysee thast it postmoderism is about the " truth is in the eye of the beholder " is all it means, and ivery much disagre; i think it's aboutradically questioing andtesting all ideas, even remaining undecided, till we learn more . . whereas the word of God is written on our heart and it is not threatened by anything, it is the truth, so why should we be afraid to test and question ideas and concepts, this is what our God given intellect is for . .
@archadeinteriors
@archadeinteriors Жыл бұрын
i'll give you an example, should we just embrace and accept all grand narratives then, of course not we should explore, test, question, we should be critical ( not saying cynical or criticizing everythin please not ! ) i mean use our creative and critical thinking fculties ! why does everyone bemoan that so much, to be this is the best thing in life, it is freedom and free will, placed before us ! The world needs to embrace free will as freedom while also discovering the truth, these ideas may seem at odds to some or many, but to me it can also be Apporia, holding these ideas in tension, and as beleivers, submitting ourselves to God allat the same time

Yes you can resolve it easily IMHO. First point; a god that does not know the end from the beginning, would not be a God at all. Second; the bible says; He elects people according to His FORE-KNOWLEDGE - in other words it's as clear as crystal; FOREKNOWLEDGE is the decider as to who is elect - ie the elect are NOT predetermined but PRE-KNOWN).

A god that is not outside time-space continuum is not a God at all. We see 'time' from only one end - He - being outside times sees all decisions we make from all angles of physical 'time' - even before they happen. There is no time in the spiritual world.

Hi Edward, In all earnestness, just for your own understanding which should really be edification, follow out what you're saying in your assertion and you will see that from its premise, God is learning who he will save... so the prescient view of foreknowledge (this is the theological term) that you espouse means that we teach God whom he will save. Self-refuting theology is ubiquitous even throughout the ages. I just wanted to put this for your, along with anyone else's, consideration, so that you can be better then that when talking to people. In an experiential instance of discussion, a contentious individual could take you to task and you be unprepared. It might have already happened, but I think that you probably would have come back and repealed your comment especially because you referred to it as "easy". We must be precise in our reverence to God. God bless

***** God knows what we will do but not because he pre-scripted it but because he fore knows what we will do. He's outside of time. He's more then able to accomplish his plan (obviously), knowing in advance what we will choose to do and works it all together to accomplish his ultimate plan. Perhaps that's why it's taking thousands of years? This would also explain why God creates each and every person and why they are important.

I think Lutzer really enjoys giving lectures in order to show people how smart he is but in the end the man says nothing. All his cleverness and quoting of others while adding in his little jokes are all just to mess with people's minds by making them believe he knows God better than them. Who is his God ? Lutzer never reveals who it is. Just saying "the God of the Bible" is also saying nothing.
