The stats and numbers can never tell the true story of JUST HOW GREAT BYRON MURPHY has been for the Seattle Seahawks. It really feels like this entire defense plays better behind him. The numbers dont reflect it, but if you know football and you have been watching Murph, then you know. People can FEEL his impact out there. What a beast. Easily gets my vote for defensive rookie of the year.. Nobody has looked better

Thank you so much for the reviews on the seahawks. Are you going to make a video about the seahawks RG at the Cardinals game? I want to know how you think he did. The broadcasters were talking about the RG a lot. Thank you! Keep up the good work.

If you look at the leaps Mafe and Hall made from Year 1 to Year 2, it is pretty exciting to think about not only Murphy, but Knight as well. Coming out of the draft, they said he was a "tackling machine" in college, and that seems to be bearing out. Glad that Mike M seems a bit more willing to play the youth than Pete did, although why it took so long for Olu to get in as a regular when Connor Williams was struggling is perplexing.

What do you think of Taoa our 6th round RG?
@scottanthony34262 күн бұрын
Yeah, I'm waiting for the "grades" to come out. Obviously, some things have gelled on this O-Line, and I'm anxious to see the analysis. I see perhaps 3-4 factors or changes. 1. Luama at RG instead of Bradford and Haynes. 2. Olu now getting more comfortable in Start # 4 or 5, and perhaps getting better. (Certainly not missing the snaps over Geno's head). 3. Abe Lucas now finishing his 3rd game back, and perhaps getting fully up to his game speed. 4. Maybe better scheming of the OL (see comments re the Zach 51 yard run). Whatever it was, the line was like night and day from our last game vs the Cards. If you go back and watch Zach's 51 yard TD, the blocking scheme is interesting. Both Lucas and Luama pull, but instead of pulling to their outside, they pull INSIDE, across the back of Olu and end up on the LEFT side. Luama is running parallel to the line of scrimmage, and absolutely pancakes a defender, and lands on top of him, while Lucas is blocking to help create the hole. Cross ends up to the right side of Lucas and Luama, and takes out a guy at what might be second level. Maybe this is an "every game" kind of thing, but I hadn't seen it in slow mo with some explaining. Very encouraging. I hope Luama is the new "answer" at RG. Maybe Haynes needs an off-season to work on his functional strength and can compete, but this group on this day was unrecognizable as the regular OL we've been seeing all year. And, zero sacks and only two hits on Geno. Been a while since we've seen a no sack on Geno day.

I'm not sure those first two clips are the best reps to be using as examples. They're hustle plays imho, which is great, but it's other players on D that are actually disrupting the play initially. And if that's not happening in those two reps, BM is likely just getting blocked out of the play. I don't disagree with your overall take or do see him winning in most of the others clips.

You’re cracked. I was at the game. I was watching Murphy for virtually every step he was in there, which really wasn’t that many. He doesn’t do anything. He gets handled one on one most of the time. I feel like you people are on drugs. The Seahawks spent the 16th pick in the draft on basically a 3-4 nose tackle.

Ok troll. Its wild how wrong you are. Go look at how the Hawks D played when he was hurt. Also, Murphy played 54% of snaps in the cards game, very normal for a rookie DT on a team with a deep d-line rotation.
