This is the video I've been looking for, for years. One question not answered here is how the seat belts have a one way ratchet mechanism that will prevent you from suddenly pulling the belt out. It must be some kind of centrifugal stop, or maybe something that rotates forward to lock the belt with sudden deceleration. Is this an older mechanism not used with more modern seat belts?

Hi my friend. We have that mechanical mechanism even in the seatbelts equipped with pre-tensioner. That mechanism has a ratchet gear and a lever that works by centrifugal force (as you mentioned). So when we pull out the belt very quickly or is sudden braking (rapid deceleration), that lever will pivot and it will lock seatbelt retractor. But the difference between this lock and pre-tensioner is that pre-tensioner is gonna lock the seatbelt permanently while the mechanical locking mechanism is not.

Hello, I would like to thank you for this valuable video and the valuable information you share with us. Actually, I am interested in learning how to repair airbag systems and restore them to their original state. Would you consider creating a course about airbag system maintenance, including the software and resetting crash data, etc.?

Hi my friend, we already have some videos for airbags and pretensioners diagnostic on the channel, but for resetting the airbag control unit I will try to make a video when I have a case.
