@@bossjigz0510 thanks boss quick question I just got the 96850 do you know if I can run the 12v lights and horn directly from the controller or do I need a step down?

@@dust6242 , you probably already found out but the controller doesn’t have a built in 12v converter so you need to send battery power to your ignition switch, then then to the dc/dc converter and to the ignition wire (orange) of the controller. If you will use remote start feature the battery power come from the controller to the ignition switch (which stays OFF) and powers everything so make sure the wire can carry the amps needed to feed the DC/DC converter.

Why do you have pole pairs set at 4 (default) instead of the actual pole pairs of your motor? Auto learn can’t count the magnets inside for you. This is why all your rpm readings are off. 10,000 rpm and that motor would explode. Lol Im sure it also makes it harder to calculate your display for actual speed because you are sending a speed signal saying you are going 4x faster than you actually are.

@@bossjigz0510 , lol. Yes, the motor won’t explode because the real rpm is less than 2000, not 10,000. If you set pole pairs to the corresponding value the app will report the correct rpm. Right now you told the controller there are only 4 positive magnets inside, so as soon as it counts 4 positive magnets passing one hall sensor, it reports 1 revolution. But since your motor has at least 16 positive magnets, each time your rear wheel rotates 1 time, the controller thinks it rotated 4 times. If your motor has 20 pole pairs, then the controller reports rpm 5x the actual rpm. Of course it will work with wrong pole pairs but if any one asks you questions about what settings you use for 1000 rpm (actual) you wont know because your apps shows 1000 rpm for what is really 200 rpm. And the controller also sending way high speed signal to your display. Does your display show the actual speed when compared to GPS? If so you must jave the calibration adjustment turned almost to minimum. Actually ive only seen one fardriver on KZbin set properly, most just run auto tune and then set amp limit but theres a ton of other settings that cant be automatically tuned. Anyway it’s something to play with if you ever have time.

@@bossjigz0510, my controller is Votol so it’s totally different. So far I haven’t found any video on KZbin showing how to set it. I have a friend with a fardriver but hes afraid to install it because he afraid of the settings. Lol. But on yours first step is find the pole pairs your motor has and enter that and set the rpm limits correctly for your motor. You have to determine your motor base rpm and then maximum flux weakening rpm. To set up your bike you need to know your battery specifications also. The BMS rating and battery rating, voltage, AH, and max discharge amps. If you bought your motor direct from QS or Siaecosy then they can also give you the fardriver settings.
