Great explanation Francois! 👍 I think most of us take this kind of knowledge for granted, & forget there’s lots of people new to the hobby that will benefit greatly from information like this? Thanks for sharing bud. Always good to see you sir! 🍻

Can you show how to physically change the voltage ?

Nice explenation. Butvoltage is not everything... One important thing is amps.. A big servo draws a lot of amps. The esc can push 7.4 volts but how much is the Amp...especially if more things to the esc..extra servo and lights.. When trotthle and full steering..you will notice like a drop off power ...because the esc can provide the constant 7.4 volts but iff its only 3 Amp for instance it will brown out..

Yes this is basic, your talking more in depth information and if I add to much it might confuse some people. Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting

@@TheTankRC You are both right. Total power available is measured in watts and it's formula is Volts X Amps. Hence you see 30amp fuses in a car with just 12volts DC but not on your standard home devices (assuming an EU voltage of 230volts AC) This means for example for the same power in the US while the volts is 110V the amps will be double for the same power/effort in watts. This means thicker cables are needed to carry more amps, with less volts for the same actual power in watts. For this same reason the power grid carries the same demand in watts but at crazy high volts to reduce the amps. It's a se-saw. Increase one to reduce the other. So Step up transformers will take the electricity from a power station and step UP the voltage to 20,000 + volts on order that the cables we see do not need to be the size of a train track rail. Once near houses and industry the voltage is stepped back down to allow a LOT of current again. There are losses of course and a trade off. But the cost to suspend smaller cables over 10000's of miles/kilometres is minute compares to carrying the same power at a domestic voltage. Components have a resistance and this is where is gets more complicated. If a rating is in watts then it's ok so long as the amps and volts being demanded from a device does not exceed that.

Hallo. Can you write how you need to connect BEC only servos?
@TheTankRC
@TheTankRC Жыл бұрын
You require 2 things an External BEC like i shown in this video and a SERVO DIRECT CONNECT from Castle Creation, This allows you to use the ESC's internal BEC at lower voltage to power the receiver, and the external BEC, along with the Servo Direct Connect, to power the steering servo at higher voltages. See link www.castlecreations.com/en/servo-direct-connect-011-0154-00

Here is another way to do it without the SERVO DIRECT CONNECT www.arrmaforum.com/threads/run-a-bec-just-for-the-steering-servo-for-big-rock.4980/

@@TheTankRC thanks.... I managed to connect everything myself. The servo got a lot of power. Best regards.
