Naruto was built from the ground up to be a boy on a mission to achieve his dream of becoming the village leader. Sakura was just introduced as a love interest that the author didn't know how to write "because she's a girl" so he just said "Girls like boys. That's what a girl is. So that's what she'll be. She'll revolve around him because she's girl." Hinata was treated much the same at first, except she wasn't bossy girl, she was wet blanket pushover shy girl. She got better as time went on, much like Sakura did. Yes, she happened to pull him down, I already answered that, it's not like she threw herself on the blade to keep it from chopping his head off. She just pulled him down. That is entirely different from what we were discussing and you know it, so knock it off. She was already protecting Sasuke and Naruto, yes Lee jumped in to try to save her a d she felt responsible and said she wanted to protect all of them, and of course as Naruto's teammate it was beneficial to her for him to stay alive, but she was only "protecting them all" because she was the only one up. If the choice had come to her protecting Sasuke and sacrificing Naruto, or sacrificing Sasuke and protecting Naruto, do you honestly think she wouldn't immediately abandon Naruto back then for Sasuke? If so, you're deluding yourself. Yeah, of course she tried to help back Lee up, HE WAS PROTECTING HER. That wasn't her sticking her neck out for someone, that was her neck being on the chopping block and trying to fight off her attackers while she had an ally to do so. It's tired, yes, but it's the truth. It sucks, yes, and I wish it was not the case. But it is. You're in denile honey. Time to wake up and face the facts. If you're a real fan of her like I am, you can accept the facts and still move on and keep loving and defending her anyway.
