​@@Ryezn5057There are many different types of shoulder pads ranging from broad to natural. If you have no padding or structure in your coat at all, it will look narrow and dull. They give your silhouette a sharpness.

There is more than one structure type. A natural shoulder is better than a soft shoulder. This type of garment is complimented by structure.

The jacket seems functional. The effect of the shoulders in proportion to the size of his head, however.... I think of a bobblehead.

I thought so too. 😢 The jacket was nice, but it made it seem like his head was too big for his shoulders. If he was that thin, I suppose I'd never dress him in anything lighter than navy, and I'd make the lapels of the jacket thinner. Also I'd make the inner shirt and the jacket in one really close colorscheme so that his head would appear smaller

Ikr. I don’t understand the trend especially if the suit was extremely expensive, why not just get the right size? I know that I tend to size up on most clothes but that’s a comfort thing and still growing so they last longer but I don’t understand the 2 sizes too small.

I have a question as Ive never had a suit in my life and I was fitting a suit I had made. I noticed that when the jacket is buttoned, I couldn’t raise my hand higher than 70degrees sideways. It is an italian jacket. Is this normal or should I alert my tailor? It feels like I couldnt do a raise the glass or a simple twirl of a dance partner this way. Please advise? Or should it be unbuttoned in such cases (seems to me I would like it unbuttoned or not wear it so I wont feel constricted.

Yes, the armholes are probably too low (a common trend nowadays). Hard to correct if the suit is already made. Here's a good article on the matter parisiangentleman.co.uk/academy/the-armscye-height-secret-a-crucial-detail/ If you want to see people being able to move their arms around, Google "high armholes suit".
