While I am generally loath to defend those idiots in silicon valley, I think the term "artificial intelligence" is more a matter of laziness. Computer scientists have been using the term more or less interchangeably with neutral networks for a long time now. (Edit: she addresses this, I'm an idiot for commenting before watching the video.) But I agree that the term is misleading in the case of large language models, and I love the term automation.
