tagalog, indonesian, and malaysian at one point had the same language. but overtime lost it becuase of foreign contacts. the tagalog has more hokien chinese language becuase of the chinese merchants atleast 600yrs ago, trading silk for pearls. then came the spanish soon after. indonesians had more contact with the indies. thats why they have more arabic sounds onto them. there are still words that are similar in 3 countries but to a point that you can almost count them

spanish words entered and spreaded through filipino language like a wildfire when they found the country. spanish had left a massive footprint when they left the country : last names/names, utensils, religion,cultures, words, etc. Now, american/english have entered and have started doing the same thing as the spaniards repeating the cycle of "re-shape-formation".

@RestyaOktaviani4 жыл бұрын
Misunderstand? maybe you are the one who misunderstood the others, why am I being judged like that? Because I want him to react to this video for the development of Jakarta so that it can be better like Seoul, but look at Jakarta has also seen its development and is more similar to Seoul. But Indonesians always consider if people who ask to reconcile state vs. state must always consider this. I mean it's fine, but you are like that!

in filipino, open translated to "buksan" and the "buka" means "to wide" or just "wide".
@maharlika17302 жыл бұрын
I've never seen someone using "buka" in a sentence or interacting with others.
The difference is more on sentence construction and intonation- Filipino learned how to become smooth in the articulation of language because they need to behave well in front of the Spaniards and don't want to irritate colonizers with the way they speak.
