I live in a place where the cost of living has skyrocketed due to all the resorts and mulimillion dollar vacation rentals being built. As such, all the tradesmen have been forced off the mountain because they can't afford to live here. When we had the recent "ARCTIC BOMB CYCLONE" many of the unoccupied vacation homes froze, and the pipes burst. I spoke to a plumber, who's about 60 years old, and he said he would be busy for at least two months fixing all the damage. And the kicker is, he also charges for the time he spends driving up the mountain from his shop, some one hour away. He said he'd hire me, and all I had to know how to do would be to carry broken pipes and toilets to the dumpster. But since I have a sociology degree from a prestigious liberal arts school, I told him I was overqualified and couldn't be bothered to do such menial physical labor. (Sarcasm joke.)

I'm positivel giddy every morning when I wake up, knowing I can do whatever I want to do, whenever I want to do it without being criticized, shamed or guilted. I have tons of free time because I am no longer a wage slave who has to keep earning money because she doesn't like the color of the tile and counter tops in the kitchen, wants an expensive vacation somewhere ridiculous, and it's time for a new SUV because the current one is now a year old. No more stress from trying to guess which ever-changing whims must be met today. There never was any s3x after marriage, so what is there to miss there? At least now I can crank one out without being guilted by anyone. I've been around the block, divorced and failed relationships, so maybe knowing full well what kind of misery exists on the other side, something in which I am no longer required to partake, fuels the happiness. I no longer pine away wishing for something that doesn't exist.

i had my wake up cal at the age of 49. now i'm almost 75 and i can say with confidence the last 25 years have been way better than the first 50, which were filled with women,women and more women. the angst and pathos is long gone...along with the constant fighting, nagging and lying. women just aren't worth the effort. mgtow.

Im more glad to be a gay man with every passing year. I’ve been around women enough to see what happens when their “sex and the city” 30s passes into their 40s. They get fat and depressed - and continue to hang out with their aging gay male friends. Who generally feel sorry for them. Occasionally one will find a man. I guess as long as there are aging gay men around to invite single aging women to brunch, they won’t be too unhappy. But aging gay men don’t go home with them - the women just get the doggie bag of leftovers to warm up in the microwave the next day.

In the uk the straight single guys in their 40's go to Thailand on an annual holiday, short time only. I'm an office worker. I go for 3 weeks, the tradey's go for 3 months. Choose the right job young men.

Yes, "great strides in engineering" is true.. Even if there are only 20% females in an engineering office, these firm's are advancing women into leadership roles much faster than men. As older men retire, or are laid off, female engineers are advanced up the ladder. And it's accelerating every year.. Soon there won't be any leadership roles left for younger female engineers, then what will they do?.

I worked for a large nation wide design firm a few years ago. They seemed to be advancing women over men as you claim. However I was most dissatisfied with the fact that no real men worked there. The only male my age was gay and thus was friends with the girls and ultimately we had no common interests. I felt more isolated then working by myself. I can't imagine them attracting any young male talent who would stay more than a few months.

We have a saying in my marriage. Happy spouse, happy house, it's not about the wife, it's about BOTH of us. But my wife is VERY conservative, CPA, and really dialed back work for our kids. My results aren't typical, as one of her friends (same age, 33) has been married and divorced TWICE. Of course she is a leftist lol

Cats offer a combo of alpha fuggs bad boy aloof attitude and maternal sublimation infant form factor. Little dogs are child substitutes and big dogs are boyfriend substitutes. Why is a law degree a bad degree? It seems like a legitimate field of study. Is the problem a supply/demand thing because it seems like there's an overabundance of them.

Law school is over saturated and it tier 1 law school that makes it worth it. If not tier 1, then forget about it.

Yes there are way too many graduates. Most lawyers end up as W2 employees at personal injury firms. The guys who actually make money are the ones talented or connected enough to start their own firms. So by definition, most attorneys will end up working for a select few attorneys. There's a few anomalies like intellectual property attorneys. Those are really high end employees for major companies and get paid a ton. But once again there can't be too many of them. Think about it, the nature of the industry is adversarial. How can you be a high end attorney if there's a bunch of other high end attorneys? A good attorney defeats his opponents. Ultimately, this is a miserable industry and I regret like hell getting into it. Best decision of my life was getting out.

The top 10-20% of lawyers make great money and the bottom 80-90% earn very little. (Especially in comparison to how much schooling and effort it takes.) Compare this to engineering, medical field, and most other professions where people make similar wages at the same experience level and will usually get raises and promotions every several years. Furthermore, the high paid lawyers are very competitive and often work 60+ hours a week.

Men and women alike face the same basic decision. You could call it the light side or the dark side of the force. A spiritually meaningful vs. a materially meaningful life. A natural life vs. an artificial life. The wide, easy way that leads to destruction, or the narrow way to more life. Jesus talked about trying to serve two masters. To us, those are the world views we choose. Only women could be foolish enough to believe they could have it all and serve multiple masters. They could break the glass ceiling and be CEOs while being mothers and raise dynasties of brilliant children. Sex is where the rubber hits the road for men and women. People choose sex or marriage. No one can have an abundance of both, because they attempt to serve two masters, which are enemies. They will love one and hate the other. When a man who is looking for marriage sees a woman messing around with men, he avoids her. Eventually she finds no man who would marry her. They found women who would marry, or they got lost along the way. Women who commit to a life of single sex do pour out their hatred of men and women who marry - they hate the other master, of love and marriage. The government and media encourage women to make those bad choices for a whole variety of reasons. Single people, with sex slave mentalities, make good slaves who will do anything anywhere for money. They become fanatical leftists - the bread and butter of Bread and Circus government. I expected a reset, especially when I saw the pendulum was always prevented from swinging back. Social programs were never reduced or cut, and women were never forced to face economic reality. i.e. No free babysitting presented as public education, etc.
