when you think about how young they were when they wrote and recorded this stuff it's amazing how great and iconic these riffs and solos still are today. I think Slash is very underappreciated as a virtuoso.
@thetribalist69232 жыл бұрын
Man, I coulda used this lesson 20 years ago. Something about the tabs for the first solo, which is one of the coolest, most creative solos ever, never translated to my brain and fingertips for some reason. It’s also interesting creatively that Slash went with a slower, more melodic solo for such a fast paced, high octane song. Definitely takes you on a journey, where you feel like you’re coming off a high, right before hitting rock bottom in the breakdown. Thanks again for the awesome lesson, Unk!

Only instructor on KZbin that does this shit right. Always to the point without over explaining this stuff. Some of these guys explain stuff in so much detail it's ridiculous. If you have to explain how to play this stuff that much to somebody they probably aren't ready to play it anyhow. Keep em coming Ben! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

@motrock22 жыл бұрын
@@BenEller Seriously; when you use real amps with the Suhr RL IR, it takes your tone to a whole new level. Regardless of amps. The 5150 III EL34 you used on the Mean Street video sounded killer. The John Sykes video with the Boogie. And now this awesome Plexi! It takes your videos to another level! And I am not knocking the Axe FX. But damn; the real amps really sound the best!

Thanks Ben, you are a fantastic teacher and amazing player. I do want to point out a small nuance. Where the solo goes up to the 15th fret on the B string, I truly believe Slash then stays on the B string and bends on the 10th fret (instead of bending the G string at 14th fret) and then Slash does the slick slide part at the 8-9-10 area of the fretboard and not the 12-13-14 area of the fretboard. You can clearly see what I am talking about here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/amXUYmp-aNiMY7s You can't see the entire sequence but you can see clearly he goes down the B string to do his 'thang'.
