Snatch means something quite different here in the UK so I'm really glad that we've cleared that up! Incidentally, lanes in the UK are essentially byways that were overlooked or ignored by the national road building programme when they laid asphalt over everything else. But they're not off road tracks. They are legally still roads.

Shauno I know you love Fraser Island as many of us do. We have been on fire for the last 7 weeks now and it’s still burning, caused by idiots that had an illegal fire and not extinguished properly. We have been through it all up here with covid closing us for 3 months and now. With fires. As a home owner at orchid beach I had to give back so many thousands of dollars this year. All I ask is the 4wd community do the right thing. It’s not only me it’s the entire island that has suffered. Thanks for your time.

Mate I'm planning to come over to Fraser sometime in early 2021, with my 95 80 series. I'll bring a massive tarp, and the day I leave, I'd love to come and see you at your place, wrap as much rubbish in the tarp as I can fit on the roof, and possibly a second one to fill the car and take a heap of rubbish off the island. If you wanted to keep in contact. I could possibly talk to the manteray ferry guy and do some repeated trips over numerous days!! Up to you mate, I wanna bring Fraser back to its glory days I remember as a kid!!!

2021 - moving to Moab Utah, Mecca for US 4wd’s! Lost my job in October (thanks COVID) so drove 5,000 miles across the country and back to figure out what to do next. Ran some epic trails and found some even more epic camps. Then landed a job as a trail guide! Time to pack up the dogs and vehicles and get a move on! Thanks for the inspiration! Im thinking 2022 goal will be a visit to AU!!

2021 is going to be my Fraser RETURN!!!! Getting a new puppy tomorrow, but going to go to Fraser after I finish the build with a new snorkel and winch. And the later in dry season will return to Cape!!!

Hey boys, plans for 2021 is the big lap....I’ve been thinking about for ages and have decided just to say bugger it and go. I’ve got the bare essentials and a new pup (bodhi a red kelpie) to keep me company and share the adventure with. Hopefully a good friend from Italy will be joining me for a portion of the the trip as I’d love to show them as much of our beautiful country as I can. 2021 is the year for 4wders!!!

Would love to do the trip with you lads. Retired after serving 35 years in the army, so have seen most of Australia and a few scary places around the world, but in military vehicles only and at times I was glad I was in one. I own a MK triton but being single now, I dont want to travel by myself for obvious reasons. Would be the trip of a lifetime. Recently got back from a 12 day trip to the Zambezi river in Zimbabwe, had a gas but my rear window of my 80 decided it wanted to fall off its runner while on the dirt roads and in the rain. Try my best to watch your videos each week and usually play catch up when I get back to civilisation 🍻

I like the empty esky trip to the fire affected towns, is such an awesome idea to the people doing that. In 2021, I going through the Grampians, along the Otways, in first half the year, if lucky have a visit to the high country for the first time, later in the year.

I will be leaving Johannesburg on the 9th of Dec for Port Elizabeth to fetch my son. From there we are heading up the West Coast and into Namibia for basically a circumnavigation. Back to Port Elizabeth and then back to Johannesburg to finish off a 11 000km trip which is my first overlanding trip in my 92 model 80 series.

Green Lanes are called such because they are old byways (really old public roads/routes) that aren't used anymore other than by 4wd's and bikes. 4wd's here kinda have to be built with mud in mind as it rains far too often here.
