I’ve applied to over 200 jobs on LinkedIn and Indeed, and I’ve come to the realization that you’ll never get a job from those websites. Once I began applying to legit company sites is when I got job offers.

1:40 It is safe to assume that it is at least $2500/person. Depending on how many people they are able to scam (+ how much money they are able to withdrawal from their victim's accounts), the amount could be potentially huge, IMO. (Also, notice that the victims they are targeting are potentially working for big companies, not some restaurants or similar jobs with low wages.)

I found one of those scams. The follow up email wasn't asking for banking info yet, but there were so many misspellings and grammar errors, I knew it was some foreigner. Google the company, called their real number, and there's was no position available.

I wish these scammers could put as much effort into finding their own job and making legitimate money that they put into scamming people who work hard or are trying to get back on their feet. I'm glad this story was put out there cuz people are so quick to go on a website fill out an application and put in all of their personal information everybody beware.

I reported a company suspecting they were bogus. Their website had no information about what they did, they kept pushing for personal information, and the people who worked their had no previous work experience on their LinkedIn profiles. LinkedIn did nothing about it. They don't do anything about red flag posts or companies. In some states companies are legally required to post the exact amount the job is paying and LinkedIn won't take down postings that don't follow the law.

If that was me and I was a cop I will give the victim and the scammer tongue lashing I would give the both of them a good tongue lashing because it’s on the news all the time people shouldn’t be falling for these scams but they do, and I’ll never understand why that is it’s it’s pretty is very very very very stupid when you know it’s a red flag right off the bat you know I don’t know why you refuse and you just give them the personal information anyway when you know it’s a red flag you know I mean yeah there are some scams that you can see why these people would fall for it like when you meet somebody in person like on a dating site and you go and meet them and me gain your trust to steal your money you know I mean you can’t see that coming because when you meet somebody they can come off very very very nice and kind and caring you know. You would ever know that they would be stealing your money or more importantly still in your heart you know? I mean you could ever see that coming you know , I mean you’ll see somebody like Grant Greentree the tinder swindler guy who came off is so kind and caring and loving to get to their money. I mean you could ever see that type of scam coming you can’t? So there are scams out there that I can’t blame the victim for because they’re some scams that are just nobody can see coming nobody you know Or if you got a phone call from your friend and they use your friend‘s name and they chat up a conversation and they say to meet you somewhere that they want to hang out right and you go and meet them and it’s somebody else for example. Like you could ever see that coming if it did happen That way you know. Who could ever see that coming? Not me that’s for sure and I’m not the type that to get scammed you know not normally you know so there are some scams out there that it’s like yeah nobody can see this coming not ever not even God I don’t think Would even see that coming, but for an online scam or somebody asks you for money or personal information that’s all different ball game altogether I mean for that I do blame her for that because you hear that all over the place right that’s the way they majority of the scammers run It’s not like you going to meet a girl or a guy and he told you this story that was really really really touching unbelievable and it was really not even true you know this is different this is some thing that everybody should know not to do you know. So yeah future reference if anybody asked for personal information online whether it’s a job or something don’t give it to them whatever you do don’t give it to them. What’s the sense of telling you that you’re not gonna listen to us anyway you’re just gonna do whatever the fuck you want And for that I don’t feel bad for you if you get scammed like that sorry but I don’t
@leighhoppins92732 жыл бұрын
Well that was pretty dumb she knew it was a red flag right off the bat right when they started to ask those personal questions. And she knew she had a feeling that it wasn’t good but she chose to give them her bank account and her other information that they could use used steel. That’s pretty dumb I mean people should know better you know. It’s on the news all the time they say don’t give any personal information and yet they still do it and I don’t know why Sometimes I wonder if they should be catching scammers or they should be holding those people who get scammed accountable because they should know better and they choose to do it anyway you know even though it is against the law to take a vantage of people I still would hold them both accountable on both sides you know because they’re just as bad as the other person is giving out that information to the scammers are just as bad as the people that steal their money to there that’s just my opinion

This happened to me last year. I've gone through many months seeking job opening & applying to many place, I was desperate to find a job until I got a text that a big European company saw my resume & is interesting in hiring me. Again, I was desperate for a job & I was so far behind on my bills. Little did I know the pay was to good to be true for the position but I figured perhaps they pay more cause it's a very big well known company, flag 1. After I accepted it they said the interview would be I'm text, to install Telegram app on the phone, flag 2. We continue back & forth with the interview & finally I was hired. You wouldn't believe the sign of relief I felt, I finally have a job with great pay! To make the story a bit short everything that was explained in this video happened to me. Thankfully I didn't give my SS# but only my name, address & contact cause it's on my resume. The big RED flag that stood out to me was the check. They sent me a check, to print out & to deposit, so I can use the money to buy the equipment I need. What was odd about the check was that it had the GM (General Motors) logo on it. I'm thinking to myself, what does GM have to do with the company in Europe? I decided to do my own research, which I should've have done to begin with. I finally found an office here in the US and explained what happened. They replied they would never do interviews via text or any type of messaging what so ever, they would do interviews in person or in face time chat like Zoom or Adobe Meetings. I was so disappointed and angry at myself & those scammers that fooled me because they got me when i was desperate. This is why most people give out more information than we should. When you apply to so many jobs for many many months, you get blind, desperate, and willing to take any jobs, whether it's working from home or in the office. This is no surprise that this has been going on for a while now & more people fall into this trap.
