In this same interview he talked about hating ads as a buisness model.. and wanting to make ethical AI services available for as close to free as possible.. he's already better than cuckerberg and google for simply stating that

Sam Altman also said in another interview that ai would bring the cost of intelligence near to 0 over time. I like the man but I think he speaks out of both sides of his mouth when it comes to the future of creative and cognitive work. Yes, people will always value doing things and find excuses for social hierarchies, but intelligence and creativity are already not values that western society takes very seriously outside of niche examples where it’s useful to the masses; smart people are alienated until they engineer the iPhone, creatives until they make a video game that’s fun to play. A quaint example of this most people don’t consider is that being a clerk at a supermarket was once a respectable job because you needed great math skills to keep the line moving quickly, now anyone can do it and knowing how to do math is mostly for weirdos and nerds because you can do all the math you need with your phone/calculator. I feel like now we’re going to do that with art, science, languages, etc, and people will still do those things because they like them, but it will be a personal hobby and they will be pressured to pick up a shovel and fill up the mines if they actually want to be realistic and provide a service to society.

They want the masses to lack critical thought. It's much easier to control and extract resources from a docile/mindless public.

Majority is stupid due to lack of efforts and pleasuring themselves with what not. Policy makers benifits from them. Now, everything is just easier yet survivability for majority of world population is at stakes (loans, rising cost, everything is capitalised no such thing as free market of free life) and people won't even think critically as they are overloaded. It looks like ours was the last stable generation. Mental instability is on rise it seems.

I lost all trust in Sam last year. He was fearmongering the dangers of AI in front of congress while simultaneously consolidating as much power in his closed company as possible. While I do think there's dangers to AI, I don't think he's acting in good faith

He lives in a economical and legal system, no single human being can change that. People just expect some people to change the system. It's like blame someone for all the condition but not the majority. Majority has always been wrong. Democracy is a joke in practice

If they shared that info it would maybe be the end of capitalism. Basically we have the tools to make life better for everyone. But They choose NOT to use these tools for the betterment of all. They are flawed humans still stuck with primitive myopic minds.

That's a legal issue for companies and Google and Microsoft are free to use everything (GitHub, KZbin, location). Big Data is need of an hour to extract patterns at world levels. Economics n Capatalism is different thing. Government still holds the power and majority can't be killed.

He used the ‘photography’ analogy, that worries me greatly, he clearly does not understand. Photography didn’t replace painting or other media like Ai does, Ai is replacing everything, it’s a whole different universe to when photography came into being. The guy is a snake.

I still can't believe he used the photography analogy, he probably uses the car replacing horse and cart analogy as well. Huge red flag for me and his ethical outlook, he's going to turn into a very divisive figure in next ten years, he'll be seen as the next Oppenheimer IMO. This isn't about doing good for the world although I'm sure good things will be a biproduct of his efforts and ultimately be used in his defence, this is ultimately about getting AGi before China does but it will be at a high price for normal people.@@stephenlight647

I don't understand why Majority is always so stupid. It's like people are commenting here what they have heard or felt right, like they don't have their own side or theory they just go with the flow. Things which will be appreciated by most. Maybe they are anxious about acceptance by majority. Like go with the winning points.
