In this video, you'll learn how spies plant a bug (Spy Listening Device) in your home so you can protect your privacy.

Great video and really informative! I can imagine you just saved a lot of people a lot of money as well as the time it would take them to find a professional to do the base sweep to discover and remove low grade listening devices. Another simple thing for people to do is to shut off all the power in their house for a little while and then use a commercially available thermal imaging device to look for battery operated devices hidden in lamps, wall sockets, pictures Etc. The battery operated devices will be warmer than the surrounding area and will stand out.

I found this extremely interesting. The technology employed today is extremely advanced and sophisticated. And it continually evolves. Years ago I had hands on examination of some of the devices from the late 1970's to mid 1980's. Thought some of it was quite interesting along with deployment methods. Nothing though compared to the modern era...like yourself, I don't keep any of the "smart" devices in my home.

Hey you should do a video on the video cameras they use in your electrical outlets where they even have an SD card in it and they can just drive by with Bluetooth and see what your doing.

Thank you. I have held security guard licenses in four states (Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah) and part of my duties involved countering industrial espionage. Some of my company's clients were actually in need of your services because of potential espionage threats, and their in-house and contract security needed to be able to follow up between visits by higher-skilled professionals. At the lower end of the espionage threat scale there still are some severe consequences in terms of dollars. One of my assignments was providing security coverage for a professional Arizona football team's practice session and I had to deal with a woman who was videotaping the practice. I didn't have to do more than get a manager and back up the manager while he explained what she was doing wrong--and how it could result in that team losing a football game because the opposing team would know their secret signals and plays. One potential problem is that "bugs" can be used to fabricate evidence of a crime. Removing bugs and taking other measures for your legal defense team to put up a "reasonable expectation of privacy" roadblock is something that your company will have to discuss with a real lawyer. False evidence can result in a FICA warrant and official attention even when no wrongdoing occurred. Nobody is immune to a valid warrant, which would make redacted evidence admissible in court. Would this evidence convince a jury that your company broke the law? Will going to court bankrupt you and your company? Competition in some industries is cut-throat. Once a surveillance warrant has been issued, there is a presumption of guilt by those conducting the surveillance. Who wants to admit that their efforts produced no results? When it comes to sales, I stink! There are multiple threats to worry about. This video should be part of every business degree course--and management is under constant threat from business rivals. If Walt Disney hadn't taken counter-espionage measures when purchasing land that became Walt Disney World, there wouldn't have been a Walt Disney World because speculators would have snapped up ever square foot of swampland and driven the price out of reach, because "environmental activists" would have used their political clout to halt development, because the publicity would have hindered negotiations with contractors and suppliers. Even back in the Sixties countermeasures against industrial espionage were the difference between going broke and turning a profit. Today, movie industry espionage is significantly more pervasive, and one indication is how many movies with the same plots, similar characters and even the same endings all pop up at the same time. A movie takes months or even years to produce, market, and publish. I was stationed in West Berlin during the Cold War and Hollywood's spy games today make Berlin look spy-free.

JASON- what about all new tv’s that have microphones. Surely you have a modern tv. Also, I have read recently that it is now possible to create usable images by using WiFi signals! Any input on that one? Love your content! Keep it coming.
