I agree with you so much. Unfortunately when I show this song to people my age (30) almost everyone starts talking or texting blah blah halfway through and I’m always disappointed because I love it so much. But as a wise man once said ‘ don’t ever get excited about too much ‘

This song is Stevie at his best, he wrings every once of emotion out of that guitar during the live performance of this.

Man I stumbled on your channel a bit ago. I am absolutely blown away by what you’ve put together and how you present. I may have to join this all officially. I mean the amount of work this all must have taken proves real dedication and ethic. Well done, from a fellow Texan. (North DFW)

He just makes it sound more complicated then what it really is rather than just keeping it simple mostly due to egos , it’s his own interpretation of something very simple like keying up j. The key of E flat !!!!!!

@@docholidayoutlaws104 I can appreciate where you're coming from, but I'm referencing multiple lessons of his, not just this one. The videos, angles therein, visuals, charts, ways of thinking / visualizing are extremely helpful and very well done compared to so much else out there.

That was great. Thanks Anthony. I'll dig in on the courses in the locals. Your tone sounded great-had a nice clarity while still being very thick sounding.

The rhythm and embellishments Stevie made on the guitar sounds like Hendrix's Slow songs. Sounds Great.

Great work Anthony. Another way to think about this particular song is SRV is playing in a minor key, then transitioning to the major key for the vi cord. Thinking about by using your excellent visualization, may help some mix major and minor scales into their playing.

This is great! You are a great interpreter of Stevie's music. Have you ever done a lesson on the the Telephone Song? Thank you for posting this.

If you would do a video on how to select the perfect Fender electric guitar and mod it to your taste and what Stevie Ray would play without having to buy an expensive one. The perfect amp with attenuator and pedals without breaking the bank.

That tool is amazing. What are the yellow, red, blue and white notes indicative of?
@MattyBEightyThree3 жыл бұрын
Looks like blue is the root note of the 1 chord. Red is the 4th scale degree of the 1 chord. Yellow is the 5th scale degree of the 1 chord.

Wait what, box 5 in the blues scale for A wouldn't have any notes on fret 4 on the middle strings.. ? It's a 3 fret gap between fret 2 and 5 there...

Very interesting….this is a video and method for and by people who know zero about music theory. A short cut that bypasses every essential element to becoming a competent guitarist and musician. Fair play…go for it. A bit like the ‘eat whatever you want and lose weight’ adverts.

Why can't you simply say... "he's playing the I chord (A or Ab Major) and walking down to its RELATIVE MINOR chord (F#m or Fm) while mostly playing Major over the I chord, and then shifting to F# minor pentatonic while playing over the VI minor chord" Anyone who knows the Major pentatonic scale and its relative minor pentatonic scale, knows exactly what he's doing here... Nothing complicated!
