If people would to ask, what's the purpose of learning Buddhism? Buddha's Teachings is to help one breaks through delusion and be awakened. The purpose of breaking through delusion and being awakened is to leave sufferings and attain happiness. Leave sufferings means right now, not in future. Learn now, and immediately put into use, one will leave sufferings and attain happiness immediately. If one cannot leave sufferings now, what is the point of learning? Also, who would dare to believe in the future rewards? Buddha's Teachings is very practical. Learn, immediately apply the teachings and instantly can feel the benefits. Like taking in the oxygen,our lungs is breathing and alive. True teachings means one can feel the immediate effect and the changes. 🙏🙏🙏Amituofo

Modern research on Near Death Experience by Raymond moody, reincarnation memories by Ian Stevenson/Jim trucker and past lives regression by Brian Weiss all independently but coincidentally show that our consciousness survive death, we live many lives and our thoughts and actions matter in the hereafter. So be kind and helpful to others, be virtuous, meditate and cultivate ourselves to higher spiritual levels. Cheers.

Thank you for your enlightening comment, Galaxymetta! The research you mention from figures like Raymond Moody, Ian Stevenson, and Brian Weiss adds fascinating depth to our understanding of consciousness and its potential continuity beyond physical existence. These studies provide compelling evidence that echoes many of the principles found in Buddhism and other spiritual traditions about the importance of our actions and thoughts. Your call to kindness, helpfulness, and personal cultivation is a powerful reminder of how we can apply these insights in our daily lives. Meditating and striving for higher spiritual levels not only benefit us individually but can also contribute to a more compassionate and understanding world. If you have more insights from these studies or your personal experiences with meditation and spiritual practices, I’d love to hear them. Cheers to continuing our journey of growth and understanding together!

I have been to some of the villages where the Buddha preached the four noble truths. I love his videos. I do research on how Buddhism disappeared in Bihar. I realized it never disappeared from Bihar. Buddhists simply failed to research Indian Buddhism. They looked at Buddhism through the sphere of their own cultures searching for only the Buddha. Buddha had a myriad of names in different villages according to his teachings there. Example. His favorite teaching was 'Lust and desire causes pain. Remove lust and desire, and pain is removed'. Translated into Bihari (where the Buddha story took place) it is DHUKH HARAN meaning to remove dukha. Three dozen villages pray to DUKH HARAN Baba. Its clear that DUKH HARAN Baba is none other than the Buddha. Problem is Buddhists are searching only for the Buddha. In the real Vaishali the Buddha begged for alms. The locals there pray to 'BHIKHAINI' Baba (Beggar Baba). Bhikhaini was mispronounced by Buddhists as Bhikshu. Who is BHIKHAINI Baba. The Buddha no doubt. But people are searching for a man called Buddha. In the real Vaishali, in Beluha the Buddha suffered a sickness and felt he had grown old. The locals pray to 'BURHA' Baba (Old Baba). Who is BURHA Baba. The Buddha no doubt. In the real Vaishali the Lichavies pressurized Buddha not to die. They trailed him to Bandagawan pressurizing him not to die. To put pressure in Hindi is DABESHWAR. Three dozen villages around the stupa where Buddha gave the Lichavies his patra, the villagers pray to Baba 'DABESHWAR NATH' meaning the man who won the pressurizing game. It was the the Buddha no doubt as he gave the Lichavies his patra and succeded in sending them back. But Buddhists are searching for the Buddha. Forgive me for commenting out of the topic. I just wanted to impart this information to you.

Buddha, Dhamma & sangha is about much more than prayers. Praying, in many instances, is little more than craving, wholesome or unwholesome. that's not what the buddha taught .I've also been to the villages of Bihar, I'm not convinced by your story.

Merci pour votre commentaire, Md Pannawansa. Steve Jobs was indeed a unique figure who drew inspiration from Zen Buddhism, which influenced his approach to business and innovation. His background and the diverse influences in his life contributed to his distinctive outlook and achievements. While the concept of karma is complex and personal, it’s interesting to reflect on how his life’s actions and decisions might align with these spiritual principles. Whether near to Nirvana or not, his journey offers a lot of material for contemplation about the integration of spirituality and daily life. Let’s continue to explore these fascinating intersections between personal development and spiritual teachings. Que chacun puisse trouver sa voie vers le Nirvâna.

Spirituality is not just a philosophy you are going to practice. Spirituality is the heart of your belief system, it’s your truth, it’s to love philosophy. Spirituality is going to be part of your personality, of who you are, personal and professional life. Steve Jobs was a spiritual person. Work speaks louder than words, his come back to the company speaks more than words, his leadership speaks more than words. Creating an exponential company a disruption, speaks a lot of his work and his leadership. Work speaks louder than words. Think different.

True. Apple basically used child slave labor in its chinese factories, and Jobs was in full control of the company, and knew all about it, just didnt care... Atrocious company, atrocious person. But great businessman and fantastic communicator for sure : look how he could so easily manipulate his own image by pretending he would be a "spiritual person" on the side... And gullible idiots, and fanbois, are perpetrating the myth...

Zen Buddhism is marked by simplicity? Only once you "get it". Until then, it's not simple at all!
@EgoPodcastenglish
@EgoPodcastenglish 9 ай бұрын
Absolutely, Doc! You’ve touched on a key aspect of Zen Buddhism-while it is often characterized by its simplicity and minimalism, truly understanding and practicing it can be quite challenging. The process of ‘getting it’ involves deep introspection and often a profound shift in perspective, which can indeed seem anything but simple. It’s a journey that can be as perplexing as it is enlightening until one reaches a certain clarity or sudden insight. Thank you for pointing that out. If you have any personal experiences or further thoughts on navigating the complexities of Zen, I’d love to hear them. It’s always enriching to share and learn from each other’s journeys.

The point of ‘pursuing perfection’ is that it’s an ‘ideal’ most never reach during a life span on Earth …. Or ever, if divinity is godliness then self awareness is mindful of humility during a rigorous process. 🌦️The aspirants say without humility …the Sun is only a Star made of gases.✨
