A job interview is to me the very worst stressor. Yes, it’s positive as there could be a job after it, but OMG, I wish there was another way to assess your worth (extremely good at the job, very bad at selling myself).

I totally hear ya - it can be so stressful! Having someone to practice interview questions and answers does help, though!

The best definition I heard for anxiety is - "trying to control the incontrollable"
@maaikederkinderen46152 жыл бұрын
I’m currently recovering from an anxiety disorder. My main trigger is my food allergies and being scared of becoming sick. Lost a lot of weight because I was scared at every meal and totally not hungry or interested in eating as a result. It’s been a really dangerous and difficult cycle to break but I’m glad I did it!

For the bit about eating bland foods that your stomach can tolerate; whenever I had trouble eating, my Nonna would tell me to eat things on the BRAT "diet": bananas, rice, applesauce, toast. Foods that are easy to make & digest for most people and to make sure you're at least getting a little something. ❤️

This was a great video, so interesting and informative 👏🏻 I experienced extreme stress in my last year of college and lost so much weight! The worst part was that people complimented me and my body, despite me being really quite unwell, which made trying to get healthy again stressful too 🤦🏻♀️

That was informative! I never thought about that, but know you mention it I realised that when I am stressed outside of my home e.g. office, on business trip, on holidays, I don't eat and when I am stressed at home I tend to eat more.

I can only wish for a day when most people that do nutrition related videos, diet, what I eat in a day, reviewing other people's diet will do a decent amount of research, like you. I found nice recipes on this channel, tips that actually helped me lose weight in a healthy way and have a more healthy ''relationship'' with food. These days the internet is filled with diets, cleanses, overpromoted disordered eating on apps like tiktok, people that make vlogs that criticise other people's workout and promote overexercising (someone that is an athlete bashing on workouts meant for beginners, for example), it is a vicious cicle and it is hard to find correct information nowdays, some people say keto is great for you, other people say it is not, and those fake doctors with no diplomas that make videos about diets only decieve you even further and cause confusion.

Hi jess! I think it would be a really cool video idea if you researched what the actors on gossip girl ate during the seasons of filming the show. It would be really interesting to see what they ate to keep their slim physiques throughout so many years of filming the show. I love your videos by the way!❤️

Trigger warning: eating habits and weight reduction This definitely happens to me. When I went through two of the most stressful periods in my life, I would lose my appetite and my throat would close up so it was difficult for me to swallow. I got to be almost underweight. I had to force feed myself most of the time, and one day all I ate was applesauce because I just couldnt muster up the energy to try to force feed myself anything else. I knew eating was important and if I didnt it would make the stress worse, but it was still hard to eat. Thankfully, I went to a doctor who diagnosed me with Barrets Esophagus and getting that fixed has helped a lot, although I haven't been through another stressful time like that again.

I love your videos! I would love your opinion/even a video about intermittent fasting or similar "diets" like ones where people "restrict" for 5 days and then eat regularly for 2 every week. I've heard a lot of mixed things about those sorts of processes in regards to weight loss and I'd love your opinion :)

I left my last job because I was so stressed that I was barely eating. My friend at work grab my hip and shocked, exclaimed, “Is that your HIP BONE?” I hadn’t even realized they were so prominent. I am starting to get stressed at work again and I’m terrified about my weight plummeting in an unhealthy way.

Sorry to hear you’re going through this - being aware of it is definitely a good step for planning ahead mindfully and making sure you are not skipping meals or undereating due to stress. Wishing you the best for managing, I know it’s not easy 🙏

Hi! So I totally love your videos, I have watched all of them at least twice so far because I like the advice on diet and healthy eating and just better food habits. I’ve been seeing so many diet and exercise programs and almost every fitness-y influencer has a diet and workout plan now. The abundance of choice in diet plans is actually getting pretty confusing for the consumer, I believe. Is it possible to research and recommend like a way of filtering through these diet plans to look at what their base nutrition and exercise value? I could help with research if you’d ever consider doing something like this

Thank you so much for the kind comment, I definitely think this would be a helpful video to make. I'll definitely reach out for help on the Community tab sometime, as I only follow about 3 fitness KZbinrs 😅 so I don't know most of the programs out there. Thanks again for the suggestion!

I’m definitely the stress eater type. Then it’s made worse when I stress eat cause I’m stress eating so much. A vicious cycle that I feel powerless to break.
@JessicaVianaa2 жыл бұрын
It’s definitely very hard - energy dense foods have an effect in our reward system so they help reduce our stress, and it can indeed become a vicious cycle to use food to cope with stress, especially when food is so readily available nowadays. Recognizing the cycle is an important first step, which seems like you do! Looking for other ways to cope with stress that don’t take place around food like exercise or hobbies like painting, etc. may help to break away from it 🙏🏻
