He's the "fears nothing" type of character. It's not that he's confident he can win, he just really doesn't care how strong the opponent is. I bet he only knows that she's an emanator and nothing else. That's bc Acheron doesn't go around destroying sht left and right like the Emanators of Nanook does. She's also surprisingly someone who can be reasoned with. She was willing to spare Duke had he just cooperated. Like you said, I think Boothill and Acheron wouldn't even fight to begin with, or it's gonna be like the fight with SAM and Acheron where she fights him without being serious and then she would use the talk-no-jutsu and explain to him her circumstances and then Boothill would accept it and tell her "my bad, I didn't know you were chill like that".

SAM reveals to us that she was only given brief script/order and it was to get the astral express to investigate the legacy or something along those lines. SAM also asked Acheron who she really is suggesting that she really have no clue what she is. SAM also answered Acheron that nothing came up when Acheron asked SAM if she was mentioned at all on the script. SAM also refers to her as Galaxy Ranger when they first met. I think people just jumped to conclusions when SAM told Acheron to draw her sword. We as a reader know that when she unsheathes the sword it activates her other form and it allows her to use IX's power, therefore allowing her to slash through the barrier of the dream. But SAM is oblivious to that information so when he told Acheron to draw her sword, it's just SAM's way of saying "fight me seriously" with no other meaning behind. Also, mind you that SAM is no weakling, she killed Blade and pinned him down when they recruited him so it's not surprising if SAM really thinks she could fight toe-to-toe with Acheron that she just know as a Galaxy Ranger, not an Emanator. Also it's not like it's a big deal to die in a dream so she's probably not thinking too much about it.

Starting from the Edict Edges to clear things up some of the holes you are wondering. The 12 blades and the rest of the 70k lesser blades that were made from the corpses of the Kami the Izumo people fought, had a fatal side effect. As their prosperity grew and the Kami were pushed back, the people of Izumo were slowly becoming Onis. Her with the horns and the zombielike people seen in the traildr. This rapid change and decline to Izumo began to worsen and in a desperate attempt to possibly save their home and people the 12 blades were shattered and reforged into Origin (The Maiden, Acheron before becoming an Emanator) and End (Hakuhatsu Ki). Both had opposing views in how Izumo could be saved and decided that one of them must decide to reach that conclusion with said duel. Acheron of course won the fight and killed her only remaining friend left on Izumo. Yet that duel, like her blade Naught, all amounted to nothing. It is at this zenith when Acheron took in all the power of Takamagahara and Izumo, that she realized the truth of what was happening to their worlds and why they were dying. Their planets orbited around a black hole. Unfortunately, even worse, this black hole is part of the vast shadow of IX. So she realized that everything they have accomplished and everything they had sacrificed. Their efforts, their existance, their very story all amounted to nothing. Not when they would eventually swallowed up by the Aeon IX. Just because her home was unlucky enough to be in it's vast consuming shadow. Here, with her last remaining power she forged the blade Naught and swung at IX's shadow in defiant desperation to continue moving forward even with everything around her crumbling. Hoping that it would all end, even herself. This of course, was a mistake. It did nothing to IX and by touching it and furthermore surviving it, she was made even stronger than ever as a fellow Emanator of Nihility. The only limit to her power that makes sense why she is playable as a character, is that she is limited by the fact that she is holding on to her humanity and the memories she could still cling to.

I don’t fully understand the scaling in this lore, but it seems like the strongest of mortals would be the emanators. Their powers scales would differ from each other and vastly from aeon to aeon. IX don’t give a booty dook on a scoot about anything so they would never limit their emanators. Acheron has free rain to pull as much power as she can. So the question is what in the mother fuck of American breathing is boothill gonna do to by far the strongest playable character we have. On my scales, Acheron is a cut above the rest!!!

Going back to boothill: The emenators the Galaxy rangers killed was a emenator of Destruction, which we know the criteria seems to be able to kill a galaxy, but we also didn’t ask: *was their casualties?* How many galaxy rangers were there, and how strong where they? Was one of them boothill? Also, how do they need to kill the galaxy? Through pure destruction? Or through plague and death? How long? We don’t really know how the criteria works, because “killing a galaxy.” Is just too wide of a check to say “yeah I did it.” It took a hundred years, but I did it. Also, as some as pointed out; IX doesn’t bless you with it’s power, you have to dive for it in his shadow. Aeons like Nanook however, puts portions of his power into his emenators, the emenators of IX take as much power as their able to use. If we say that Nanook’ emenators are like 30% of Nanooks power, (with each have 6%), but from what we can tell, they also don’t have any sort of problem using his power, is it right to assume that Acheron is using more of IX? Power? And as the sole IX emenator, *how much power did she absorb?* I would say 12-15% would be good, estimate, but we also need to compare her to the family and aventurine; where she can warp, and cause death, when it shouldn’t be caused, due to the barrier erected by Xipe, and the family, which she can just easily warp and break. Something that if your just doing punching and fighting, is impossible. Also aventurine: even if his Cornerstone was damaged, he’s one of the 10 stone hearts, meaning that be has a portion of the power of the Aeon Qlipoth, which even if we say he was using 30% of the cornerstone’s power, is crazy, being that he couldn’t even block Acheron, and was taken out in one slash.. (even tho he wasn’t trying to block.. If he was, I doubt aventurine could’ve do anything against that, he was literally vaporized on the spot ☠️) While boothill might be strong, he can’t deal with someone who can just bypass his defenses, and straight up kill him. Because while punch-fighting is hard, blocking slashes that can Bend the fabric of reality is harder, and if he doesn’t have any sort of broken ability like immortality, (which won’t even help since she can just slice through immortality. If she can cut a barrier meant to keep out death, killing blade sounds like a cakewalk..) or being able to bend space, welp, he’s dead when he gets into penacony. .-.

Aventurine power is borrowed from a true emanator , just like the 8 other person Diamond is the true emanator of preservation and is who aventurine borrow power At best is aventurine = 1/10 diamond = ??? Aeon

@@vietcuongnguyenle8530 if we say that qilpoth gave 35% of THEIR power, and diamond gives the stonehearts around 20-50% of it’s power split between the 9 other stonehearts, that’s around .7-2% of Qilpoth’s power, which Acheron literally can one-shot. If we say that by breaking his corner stone, it reduced aventurine’s power by 50%, that’s still like 1% of the aeon’s power. I doubt that qilpoth will give more then 40-50% of his power, because that just seems kinda dumb, but if we say emenators are roughly given a similar amount of power from their aeons (their not, but let’s say they are in this hypothetical.) Then Acheron had around 35x the amount of power in-terms of given from their aeon, compared to aventurine. This is all speculation, and low-balling it, but that’s just crazy. (And the fact that the amount of power Acheron can pull from IX ISN’T LIMITED, so she could be using 40-60% for all we know, all that matters with IX is that u don’t die/go insane.) Either way, aventurine was very-outclassed, and idk if Dimond could even compare to that strength.. But only time will tell.

i m more curious bout the guy who is talking to acheron in her memories before she departed to penacony. the way he talks so carefree to her like she is his childhood frnd or something and also have knowledge of her identity, harmony's aeon, the penacony as a whole..he is not a normal human and for him to have such a strong opinions and even acheron felt compelled to hear his words on "in ur eyes, am i the same?" says a lot bout these two that she cares bout his words enough to ask it herself. I bet he is someone who known her for a long time or a doctor of chaos but the way he feels so comfortable talking bout the nihility he doesnt seem affected by it at all. You can briefly see him in Rondo Across Countless Kalpas (Black Swan dance with Acheron), at about 2:00. It seems Acheron meets him after the events of Izumo and it's also the final pleasant memory Black Swan sees from Acheron before she gets devoured by the rest of her trauma💀It's very sad. That sequence implies that Acheron's life gets even worse and the only thing she did was bring death to everything she comes across (in the imagery of predator chasing prey). It really is a miracle Acheron continues to hold onto that strand of colour that the mysterious man talks about.

I doubt Boothill can kill Acheron because from my understanding, multiple galaxy rangers teamed up and jumped a lord ravager to kill it, and Boothill is one man. He has no chance unless he is capable of moving during the slowed down time when Acheron unsheathed her sword and "killed" Aventurine and left a permanent mark in the sky of dreamscape (if you go to the sight of the battle and look through the part of the screen that was cut from Acheron at the right angle, you’ll see it). She was fighting Sam in a 1v1 when neither was going all out, especially Acheron and Sam is a beast.

Finally, someone talking about power scaling in HSR. I'm relatively new to the hoyoverse and honkai-verse. So I've been REALLY curious about how strong any one character is when compared to the next. Like how strong Itto is from genshin compared to others like diluc. Or hell, how does the 'raiden mei' clones compare to each other. How strong as the OG Mei, compared to "raiden" mei, or Archeron mei.
