Ging is probably a sukuna type character where they’re just so smart that they can adapt/replicate in a battle on the fly and are just OP af. Like a jack of all trades. In other words he doesn’t rely just on his nen ability just as sukuna didn’t rely on shrine alone but just devious af

You know hxh is great when you can have 80% convos about how the plot will play out and who did what and will do what etc. but then also power scale and ponder how strong someone really is. It’s like game of thrones but shonen at the same time when it comes to the kinds of convos you can have with it.

I think it's very likely that Netero was underselling himself syaing like hes barely top 50 in current time, which is a crazy thing to say, he lamented his whole life for not being able to find an opponent strong enough but that wouldn't be the case if there were at least 50 people stronger than him.

Netero at one time was number 1 , and he feels like he's not anymore , since he's out of his prime , but Knowing how Netero is , he probably was just trying to push morel and knove's buttons because he said "I'm just on your level now" to them . Which is funny af 😂

@@lifaakramI can’t help but wonder if he was being truthful by omission. The way I see it, there are 3 levels of Netero- Prime Netero who was at one point #1 Out of practice old man Netero-who says exactly the comment about being on Morel’s level Back-in-shape-but-still-old Netero, who clearly is above the royal guards but is still basically a low diff challenge for Mereum So perhaps the out of practice and old Netero IS only on Morel’s level, basically nursing home netero is equal to an elite hunter, but as soon as he gets himself “back in shape” he leapfrogs them rather easily in the power scale

I think he is an Enhancer like Gon, but instead of merely Enhancing his physical prowess, he Enhances his learning ability to the point that even other types of Hatsu are child’s play to him.
@PavchBavin7 сағат бұрын
My favorite theory I’ve heard so far about Ging’s ability is a self imposed nen restriction to create a hatsu therefore boosting all his other abilities and nen categories I like this idea cause 1. It fits with his defiant personality of doing things his way, everyone creates a hatsu 🙄 Ging, not me that’s dumb and I don’t have to do anything 🤷♂️ 2. Nen contracts are extremely potent and multiply on top each other, I can’t imagine what giving up a hatsu would mean in hxh but I imagine it would be fair to surmise that you could boost the other categories and perhaps even mimic other abilities except your own
@neutralraff507812 сағат бұрын
I like the idea that he doesn't bother with abilities, just the basics to dismantle/crack/re-engineer nen itself. Why waste time on crazy contracts when you can just flow through nen interactions? It's the difference between a Gojo high-tech talent and Sukena high efficiency. He survives your ability long enough to study and find its week spot to create the perfect counter.

I think it's worth noting that "top nen users" doesn't necessarily mean strongest. Netero vs Meruem is a solid example. Netero is definitely a better nen user than the king, but we see how that turns out. Kurapika vs Uvogin is another solid example, where Kurapika's tailoring his nen ability and the 100% efficiency of Emperor Time let him defeat a nen user of greater power.
@SolidSnake2407 сағат бұрын
Facts. Too many people look at HxH like other battle shonen where strength is the main deciding factor in a battle.
@seeker386 сағат бұрын
@SolidSnake240 it's sort of interesting to see that it's a setting where it can go either way. Sufficient strength can overcome skill (Meruem defeating Netero, Gon defeating Pitou) but sufficient skill can overcome strength (Kurapika defeating Uvogin). The entire castle siege against the ants is basically strength vs skill. And HxH also does really well showing how tactics can win the day against a physically superior foe. It's pretty great seeing the evolution of YYH's territories into the nen system.

I think current Netero was heavily underselling himself. Even when seemingly flexing his aura, he was probably holding back since Colt said he would get killed by one of the guards before even reaching the King, while Netero easily threw Pito away, proving that wrong. (even if they did not seem physically hurt, as the attack was only to push them away) iirc Morel even said Netero was exaggerating when he called himself relative to them (?) Therefore, I find it unlikely that Ging is stronger than current Netero, and don't believe we can use his statement as concrete evidence. Though he's built up to be a really strong character, we can't really know how much yet. imo claiming he'd safely be able to defeat every royal guard is pretty bold until we have further info, considering how much more powerful than pretty much anything we've seen they are. Also Netero claimed Ging was one of the Top 5 Nen Users in the world, that doesn't necessarily mean he's insane in a fight. From what we've seen it looks like he's insanely good at using it (being able to manipulate it easily and replicating an ability after seeing how it felt), not necessarily having a lot of aura.

yeah, Ging's new proficiency with nen is matched only by meruem so far, Chrollo would have had to fulfill 5 conditions to copy Leorio's ability, Ging just had to fulfill one, and that wasn't even his hatsu.

I almost liked Ging until the election arc, where he shows just how much of a deadbeat he is. But maybe, he is still plotting something with Gon, where everything comes together. Or he simply dies to Pariston.
@THED3ADLY713 сағат бұрын
I hope he doesn’t die to Pariston but Hunter X Hunter isn’t exactly known to be kind to its characters. A lot of the most iconic moments from Hunter X Hunter happened because a character either died or was dying. Like Adult Gon and Netero’s death. I can definitely see Ging’s death fulfilling a similar purpose but I really don’t want that.

Ging would not be dead beat if he told Parstion that Gon is not going to die. Ging saying that show slight in fact he does care about him in his way that hold him back being ant social.

@@THED3ADLY7I think Ging is going live been built up for while since the start. Ging is going be big thorn to Parstion when they explore the dark continent. When the truth game begins and Ging is going show us the fans what mean being hunter how he catch his prey.
@tomimn223312 сағат бұрын
Ging wins against Meruem. Not thru combat, but wit, the way Komugi beat Meruem. Meruem is straightforward and sincere. The Meruem wavering between ant and human would lose the mental battle against Ging. Worse yet, Pariston would run laps around Meruem and would most likely be able to manipulate him quite easily.
@dablackgohan12 сағат бұрын
Not too much on the praise from netero. He was definitely depreciating himself when he said he was on the same level as the hunters he was talking to. Because he was far stronger than they were.
