Dave Adrian itachi went blind quicker because of two reasons. He's been using mangekyo a lot longer than kakashi and he has access to susanoo. And sasuke is the reason I came to this conclusion. When sasuke got his mangekyo, he started spamming the shit out of susanoo and that's why he started to go blind so quickly. Itachi rarely had to use susanoo so his eyes took a lot longer to deteriorate and obito never had access to susanoo which is why he still has his eyesight despite using his mangekyo abilities pretty often.

I'm pretty sure he just became a jonin again so he could take it easy and wouldn't have to go all out...until he got pissed and poured all his chakra into utterly destroying his competition. Just look at how he scales his abilities when training people. Even in Boruto, he always fights at or slightly above the person he's fighting until he decides to end it, unless he deems them a serious threat, like with Pain, or Itachi, though he didn't really get the chance to do anything in that one

There's actually a pretty good explanation for how Kakashi gets stronger. Chakra is made up of physical and mental energy. Kakashi is in a very sorry state mentally at the beginning of the series, which seriously handicaps him. Towards the end, he has overcome his mental problems and depression, and as such, becomes much stronger.

Well, the Water prison is implicitly not strength dependent to get out, so if you are anything less than a Kage, you probably are kind of screwed once inside. It has nothing to do with Kakashi's strength on why he needed to be rescued after Zabuza got the drop on him. As for why he got caught in the first place, again it wouldn't say guarding 4 people was out of his _physical_ abilities, but he just didn't think fast enough to avoid the Water Prison he didn't know about. I think the fight would have gone very differently if before the fight, an alternate version of Kakashi and Zabuza saw a video of it. Both alternates would gain information about the other's abilities, and it comes closer to a test of strength, which Kakashi has the edge for. Or at least I think so.

I think you are looking into Kakashi getting caught by Zabuzas water prison way too much. I think Kakashi just out classes Zabuza but Zabuzas tactics caught Kakashi off guard. Once Kakashi got a feel for the fight and realized he has to take Zabuza seriously or he might die. He bodies him. Kakashi just underestimated his opponent. Once that was over he was clearly stronger.

That interpretation is a bit off, with all we know about Kakashi. Quite literally every single fight he has, Kakashi quickly and accurately figures out his opponents' abilities and comes up with a successful counter to them. Tactics are his strongest suit, and we're shown that time and time again. To say Kakashi struggled because of Zabuza's tactics... that's far more praise than anybody else has ever given Zabuza, at least that I've heard. Whether he deserves that praise or not... who's to say. Make no mistake though, Kakashi did not win that fight, *Naruto* did. There's not really a way to argue against that much.

Like the guy said, that was great tactic by zabuza cause he couldn't go head on with kakashi. Luckily naruto and sasuke didn't freeze, like sasuke said, their tactic was to free kakashi so he can beat zabuza. All in all yes, zabuza in that scenario, tactic was his strongest suit, he planned it very well to trap kakashi in the prison.

A few things... The statements in the opening arc of a long running series are almost always retconned later! Next it's important to note Kakashi himself states he's been slacking on his training and after encountering Kabuto starts his basic training(rock climbing with one hand) again... Lastly he likely is a lot stronger than Zabuza but merely got caught off guard by the water prison jutsu... So Zabuza just got lucky(it happens)... He finishes both Haku and Zabuza without much difficualty in the second battle.

For reference, all of the new genin we see in part 1 graduated the academy at 12. He was already an elite level ninja way before his sharingan. It's absurd to think that without his sharingan he wouldn't have advanced more, plus he wouldn't have had that big of a stamina issue since the sharingan is always on and he can't turn it off. He was a genius. Also, being weaker than Guy isn't a knock on Kakshi. We saw that a full powered Guy can do serious damage to Rikudo Madara.

I think that towards the end of the fight on the bridge, Zabuza was also a little shaken by Haku's death before he even was effectively beaten between Kakashi's beatdown and Naruto's TNJ. He tries to play it off like he doesn't care and that was Haku's final purpose, but he immediately starts making mistakes and Kakashi takes advantage of that. Both of his defeats by Kakashi were as a result of his own state of mind at the time.

Minato's goal was to make rasengan a complete jutsu by adding elemental chakra to the Jutsu. He wanted Kakashi to add Raiton to his Rasengan but he failed. Then Kakashi took that principle to create his very own jutsu, the Chidori. So he learned the rasengan before he created the Chidori and he created the Chidori before he had the sharingan. So yes, he trained and learned the rasengan by his own. Then later he tells Naruto about what Minato really wanted to do with the Rasengan and Naruto becomes the first ever to add elemental chakra to the rasengan and complete the jutsu, creating the Rasenshuriken.

This is one of the main reasons I'm not exactly a big fan of trying to use real life science and apply it to feats in stories. If the writer wasn't designing their world with that in mind, chances are their intent isn't going to line up with measurements made using real world limits and rules. That's how you wind up with series where a bunch of feats are inconsistent or open to interpretation, because the writer never really set up firm well-thought-out guidelines for themselves with some sort of scale.

Eh, Zabuza was gathering resources for another attempt on the Mizukage's life, right? Maybe it was Yagura at the time, but it might not have been specified. Assuming it wasn't Yagura (I kinda doubt it was) but, say, Mei, I'd say that means Zabuza was on the lower-end of the Kage level spectrum if he was able to attempt it once, get out alive, and feel confident that he could do so successfully on the second attempt. So even first arc Kakashi kinda busts into Kage level, if only just, imo. It makes the strength referenced by Tsunade and the comparison Orochimaru made between Kakashi and Kabuto seem far less... inconsistent with the strength he displays, though that would mean, if Zabuza was accurate in saying Haku was stronger than him, that Wave-arc Naruto had, for a bit, burst into Kage level already. Kinda crazy, but I suppose it's a good way to frame just how strong Kurama's chakra makes Naruto compared to his base. This was kinda head-canon, though, with me stitching together strands of evidence from different parts of a series in which things get retconned, so... meh.

@@jimc1551 1. That wouldn't make Neji Kage level. Naruto barely pulled out a sliver of chakra to open his coils, not go berserk like he did against Haku. 2. After thinking about it, I find it more likely (and supported by story elements) that Haku didn't have it in him to really go at Naruto and Sasuke - or at least at Naruto - with the intent to kill, and, thus the fight wasn't enough to scale a Kyuubi enraged Naruto up to Haku's level at all. Considering the reanimation brought Haku and Zabuza back slightly weaker than they were when alive, but they were doing work against entire platoons of chunin-jonin shinobi even in that state, Haku holding back makes more sense. Zabuza probably didn't realize, as he was busy fighting Kakashi. There, things aren't too crazy anymore.

If I recall correctly, Yagura died a week or two before the chunin exams, and Mei became Mizukage during them. That may be why we don't see any mist ninja in those exams, not really sure about that though. But I do think it's safe to say that Yagura was probably the Mizukage at the time of the Land of Waves arc, and if not Zabuza definitely still *thought* Yagura was Mizukage.

Zabuza hai essentially almost assassinated mizukage and was also a once member of the 7 ninja swords men. He possessed the Kubikiribōchō as well. Tbh I haven't watched that part for like 2 year now , so some info might to be wrong. All I meant to say is , Zabuza was essentially really strong as well , so Kakashi did struggle against him initially but neither Zabuza , nor Kakashi can be said to be just Jonnin level. Also, Haku was said to be stronger that Zabuza maybe because he possessed a Kekegengai . All this to some up that even though the fight wasn't looking like an OP one , the people involved were quite skilled. To the Argument that Naruto was stronger than Kakashi an this point of time , well that's only when the Kyubbi chakra is taken into account. With the Kyubbi chakra not long after , Naruto (4 tail Kyuubi mode) almost killed Jaraiya , one of the Sannins ! To put in place , Naruto could surpass many a people while relying on the Kyuubi chakra . Final conclusion : All I meant to say is, Kakashi seems to be weak here , but actually he isn't. The initial impression sure seems like it , but when we take into consideration the Zabuza and Haku weren't weak either , things do get summed up. Don't lash out on me , please !
