@@leekwtf2 It’s his actions and mannerisms. He’s been Head Capt. Yamma almost as long as Unohana. He also has the highest stats according to Mayuri. He tells Stark one day Capt Hitsugaya “may be stronger than him.” The only reason the Gotei follow him is because of strength. He’s also a master strategist. Instead of simply overwhelming/overpowering people the the other captains do he’s able to stay back and distract and strike at the perfect moment.

Actually, you just need stronger mental fortitude and or more reiatsu. Remember, the thread only kills the one who gives into despair and tries to flee. If neither side breaks, they just keep drowning until one runs out out reiatsu and dies. That's why the first 2 acts focus exclusively on equalizing both parties as much as possible.

Can we talk about how Zaraki is literally ichigo and Aizen level especially in the light novels. Also Unohana said she was stronger than everyone except kenpachi. Plus kenpachi was more of a threat than shuishi. Plus it take 10 years to master a bankai and time was 10 years. On top of that Kenpachi is literally still growing strong with his potential only being rivaled by the hybrids.

Literally 3 of tge 4 acts wouldn't help shunsui against zaraki because zaraki can take more damage than shunsuis and has much higher rieatsu than shunsui. Past that, it's all down to physicality and zaraki would tear shunsui apart worst than he did to Gerard.

So what made them work together instead of just letting aizen kill them was aizen being TGAT MUCH monsterously stronger than all of them. Gin can solo each and every espada but he isn't strong enough to make them obey him. The rg even it's leader, all respond to a higher power, being yhwach and haswalth so tge rule that lile has to be stronger to lead doesn't apply to tge elite sternritters. Lille has an ability that allows him to be consistently untouchable. Gerard has the ability to not only be practically immortal if someone doesn't get to hus quincy cross, but get stronger from it for each hit he takes. It's only convenient that lille could bypass durability therefore shooting past gerards quincy cross, to normal scaling kubo said himself that it's extremely tough to destroy gerards quincy cross.

I think this is a little baseless. No reason was given as to why Zaraki couldn’t beat Shunsui. Shunsui is faster and trickier, and way more perceptive but a close quarters battle with Zaraki, worst if he’s using shikai will be too much for any captain. Close quarters is Shunsui’s specialty. Zaraki has better reach and range too and can overwhelm Shunsui with every move so he literally has to dodge instead of trying to parry. His zanjutsu isn’t absurd enough to redirect that force like Unohana. He’s so insane that simply grabbing his opponents mean’s they’re losing that limb. It takes an absurd ability like Toshiro’s bankai and Byakuya’s zanpakuto that completely makes close quarters very unfair to gain an advantage against that monster. Bro was breed to be the monster in Yama’s stead

Zaraki will split Kyoraku in half. He was besting two captains in SS arc with his eyepath on. I don't think he even needs a shikai here. Kyoraku in shikai was nearly killed by Robert, the weakest fuck. His bankai is based on reatsu draining and it won't work even against base Kenpachi, because he has highest levels of it - matching Ichigo and Aizen. Battle between soul reapers is a battle between spiritual pressures, he will easily overpower his silly power with his spiritual pressure.

This was the narration given to us in kyoraku vs tokinadas fight before anyone knew about enra kyoten. All kyoraku said about tokinada was that he couldn't relax around a character with the rieatsu of byakuya and yoruichi. All this means is that kyoraku recognizes yoruichi and byakuya as capable fighters, not that shunsui was inferior to either of them. Tokinada even backed off at one point when shunsui threatened him with his rieatsu, saying he doesn't want to get caught in his bankai. So not only does tokinada fear shunsuis bankai, but shunsui, an extremely humble and calculating character, believed that he could beat tokinada with just his shikai as well.
