It's worth noting that, in one episode when Sesshomaru is angry because he thought they killed a Saimyosho that could've been followed back to Naraku, he flat out says he's in a bad mood and won't be going easy on InuYasha as he had been. He proceeds to run him through, and nearly kills him until Kagome gives him information and that satisfies him.

Seshomaru with bakusaiga is the strongest character, he can kill inuyasha if he wanted to, but he decided not to do so. One cut from bakusaiga will never heal. Bakusaiga also neutralizes regenerative capability, that's lethal for inuyasha.

Inuyasha's meido is more dangerous than toga's due to inu's meido splitting into smaller sword beams, which covers more ground and makes it harder for enemies to dodge. We only see toga using the standard meido so this could be unique to inuyasha.

So if Sesshomaru used Bakusaiga against Inuyasha a second time, he dies. But that only helps Inuyasha in a way, because that means that Inuyasha has gotten so powerful that only Sesshomaru can truly defeat him. I have a question. Many fans claim that Inuyasha comes close to his father's strength, Strength and power are 2 different things. I have a theory that Sesshomaru can cast spells and do all sorts of magic like illusions and stuff, he isn't the most powerful demon in the show for no reason after all. I think he is just more inclined to and puts more emphasis on being a warrior than a sorcerer. I also believe he's much older than 500-900; I think he's at least 1,200. If his parents are at least 3,000+, then it would make no sense for them to wait thousands of years to have a child.

What makes sesshomaru so much stronger than the others is that he’s so strong in many different ways. Unlike someone like inuyasha, he is strong but not an idiot and is smart in ways of battling and is very wise. He has a great amount of stamina as well. Even with only one arm, he didn’t have any trouble fighting and didn’t make him any weaker. He stays very calm and level headed in most battles so that helps him think and come up with a plan. With tenseiga, he can destroy spiritual things as well when other people could even lose to weak spirits because they can’t touch them. With the power to be able to destroy physical and spiritual things, he’s pretty much invincible. And bakusaiga is the most powerful weapon in the show. Even though it only has one move when tetsiaga has several different types, bakusaiga is still stronger. With his swords, he can destroy 100 spirits and 1,000 demons in 2 swings. And sesshomaru’s poison is so dangerous it can dissolve physical objects and can effect humans and demons. His poison is even stronger than naraku’s and he is nearly invincible from getting poisoned. He is true form is extremely powerful as well. And even though bakusaiga is a weapon and not exactly sesshomaru’s true strength, he did get it by making it from his own power and it wasn’t just some sword made by a sword smith. It was his own power that made the sword. That also shows how powerful your demonic energy has to be to be able to even truly wield bakusaiga as well. And he can fly extremely fast and is great at dodging attacks. And his sense of smell is extremely strong. And he has a huge amount of demonic energy. He’s extremely strong in so many different ways of battling is what makes him the strongest character in the show. With bakusaiga he is powerful enough to break some barriers. The only thing he’s really missing is that he can’t break barriers and can’t make any barriers and doesn’t have any powers of purity.

Sesshomaru is first in terms of daiyokai, demons with full forms. He can transform and Inuyasha cannot. The ability alone makes him more durable and stronger than Inuyasha. Sesshomaru has defeated many demons without the sacred jewel whereas Koga, another strong daiyokai relied on the jewels enhancement. He would even want to fight or use any of his power killing inferior foes. The only reason he went after Naraku was bc Naraku deceived Sesshomaru, he saw it as disrespect. He's so powerful that there are very few verses he could stumble into where the characters there would actually stand much if any chance of defeating him. He could pop up in MHA and just fucking destroy shit. HxH? The Chimera ants will have been pushovers in comparison. Naruto? Literally only like, 4 people actually stand a chance against him and could very easily fuck up and end up dead faster than they could recover. One piece? No chance for anyone really, it kinda sucks because it's one of my top faves but damn, they get demolished by Sesshomaru. Bleach? It highly depends, even the top tiers will struggle against him since he's shown to be able to literally dispell actual shinigami spirits or trap them inside objects mindlessly easily, so I'm not sure how the bleach verse shinigami will fare. If that doesn't apply, the same situation as the Naruto verse applies. Shaman King? Literally only Spirit King Hao stands a chance against Sesshomaru. No one else. Plot armor. Nothing more... naraku was only so powerful cause the storyline demanded it. Inuyasha beat SS because he can't be killed by his brother that would defeat the main purpose of the show.

@@jat4651 I was not thinking straight in my last comment. But even so Inuyasha still surpasses his father. No he's not stronger than his father, but he's more flexible and he has more abilities with tessaiga than toga does. And there's the fact that while toga managed to seal Ryukotsusei, Inuyasha managed to kill the dragon, with his reforged tessaiga. And in yashahime, Inuyasha managed to hold his own against kirinmaru(he lost and he had his family there to help him but still), so that also means Inuyasha can one v one his dad. he'll lose but he will still put up a good fight. Inuyasha shows that he's the strongest half demon in yashahime, because he overall done better against kirinmaru than towa, setsuna,and moroha in their first two fights without powerups *cough* moroha and towa.
