1. Hiraikotsu is THE best weapon and Sango wielding it makes it so much more badass, Hisui doesn't have the same effect. 2. Banryu is PERFECT for Bankostu, simple yet deadly. Like no one expected this short human man to be an absolute nutcase and even more fucking chaotic with a blade. 3. I'm so happy you talked about movie weapons!!! The movies are so underrated and never spoken about and they had some of the most unique weapons. Can you imagine Kirinmaru wielding the Sounga👀

Well sadly I do not have a top 10 favorite Inuyasha weapon list as most of the time I just like the weapons in the show because they look cool lol. However there is something that I want to bring up and that is the fact that I haven't noticed this until now but it feels like the toga clan has a lot of stuff involving the number of 100 when it comes to the weapons that are used by toga, Sesshomaru and Inuyasha like the Tesaiga:can slay 100 demons. Tensega:can save 100 lives. Souga:can take 100 demons but also bring them back. I'm seriously convinced that this clan loves the number 100 lol. But despite that really really fun top 10 list though I am surprised that you put a mirror in number one although that mirror is pretty busted which makes me glad that it's a movie exclusive weapon. I mean could you imagine of Kana had that version of the mirror she would be way more dangerous then Naraku. Anyway great job!

I really liked Kanna's mirror, it was so original and scary. Being able to draw souls into the mirror was so creepy. That said my favorite is Bakuseiga. Not only because it is the weapon that was formed inside Sesshomaru, to give him his own maturity of power, but because it just vaporizes its victims. Many has said his need to protect Rin created this sword but I think that was only a part of Sesshomaru's development. He was emotionally and mentally developed enough after Kagura's death, Rin's second death, and his acceptance of InuYasha being the Tesseiga's true owner to ascend to his true power. The result, one badass sword.

I've been wondering about something.... Sesshomaru is now Lord of the Western Lands and Kirinmaru is Lord of the Eastern Lands. How does apply on islands like Japan? Does Sesshomaru rule the Western half of Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu and Shikoku or does it apply to the positions of the islands with Hokkaido and Honshu being east and Shikoku and Kyushu being more Westward? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Well Jakken and Myoga stated that Kirinmaru and his 4 Perils come from the main land. Its a bit confusing because the area in which Inuyasha takes place is Tokyo and thats on the main land of Japan. His 4 Perils and Kirinmaru himself are based on chinese beasts so I always asumed they meant china by main land. But then the "hes the ruler of the eastern lands" wouldnt make sense

Yes, but Kirinmaru isn't in China anymore, but has been in Japan for a long time. Also as far as I remember in the original series it was said that Inuyashas father ruled over the west.

I think my list would be similar to yours! Just changing some orders. And I’d take out Kohaku’s weapon and put Jakotsu “whip-sword” instead. I think that’s one of the most creative weapons I’ve seen on anime and it’s also so versatile! But I think my number 1 favorite would be Tenseiga. I just love how OP its ability of being able to inflict damage on beings of the “other side” is! 💕

Bakusaiga is literally the culimination of Sesshomaru's character arc. That moment where his sword manifests with that poisonous emerald glow is just beautiful. And how he uses Tenseiga as a weapon to cut through Magatsuhi since it can kill spirits and the undead is just awesome. In my own top ten list for fictional swords, Bakusaiga lands just short of number one.

She is super OP without her consciousness, when she got possessed by root head demon, her Yoki blade grows bigger and bigger, her real power is beyond limit, but typical to the OP anime character from Sunrise, she is a bit pacifist.

I don’t think I’ll ever get over the fact that Inuyasha and the gang were so worried about Tokijin’s evil aura Miroku was literally thinking of ways to seal it in the long term. Hell, they even warn Sesshomaru that apparently it’s powerful enough to do even HIM in. But Sesshomaru just gives them a look, goes and picks the damn thing up and the aura is just….swallowed by his own demonic aura 😭 then he goes to say “wtf do y’all take me for?? I've always adored all of the weapons of the Four War Gods (Well, three of them, anyway). Ryura's wind and thunder blades, Kyora's crimson fan, and Jura's thunder cannon have always been my favourites. If I had to pick one, it'd be Ryura's wind and thunder blades simply because he's my favorite 😂

Tenseiga is my favorite weapon in Inuyasha. I think its sad that Inuyasha never gets hold of it. We saw Sesshomaru with Tessaiga using a human arm to fight with it. Sesshomaru is not able to use Tessaiga like Inuyasha does without any helping "supplies". (The Attack in Movie 3 doesnt count! and he burn his hand), so I really wanted to see Inuyahsa struggeling with Tenseiga. Inuyasha has a good heart but he is kind of an egoistic person. Tenseiga wouldnt have work for him, I would love to see this. But never happens :(

1. Hiraikots is the coolest weapon and I think it can developed more(I think in the FA it was too late and only the beginning). 2. I agree that Tenseiga was a much more interesting sword than Tetsaiga. I found that Tetsaiga just like a Final Fantasy weapon that levelled up with the character. However, the Tenseiga was purely made to help Sesshomaru grow into a great demon like his father. My personal favourite would also be the mirror weapon in the number one spot. Just cool to think something so simple so delicate could be so destructive. Would be cool to see your top 10 armour pieces in the future.

Good list for a start! Hard to pick favourites when there are so many interesting/cool/badass weapons. My (likely incomplete) list, not a ranking: I always lowed Tenseiga really much, because it is so uncommon being a healing weapon, which seems paradox. That's why somehow even cooler than Tessaiga. Tokijin for all the reasons you explained, especially it's creation background. Banryu for the fact that its upgrade was Bankotsu's downfall. (I really do seem to have a similar liking in the philosophical backgrounds than you do :)) Sounga because holy sh***. But even more so the combination of Tessaiga, Tenseiga and Sounga. The holy sh*** of holy sh***s. Hiraikotsu and Tessaiga: so iconic that its hard not to love them. Shippo's acorns!!! (just kidding)

Toga had tensaiga that protects its owner just like tetsuaiga but whyyyyy didn't his swords teleport him from his fight and collapsing burning building when it would easily protect and teleport sesshomaru and inuyasha from harm. Now that we saw what the swords do to protect their owners . It's odd that while holding both swords on him neither swords protecting or transferred him somewhere else

Sōunga is so much stronger than both the Tessaiga & Tensaiga that any barrier or ability would be immediately neutralized by its attack. However, Tensaiga could protect its user as it possessed some sort of will of its own. It could be that it only senses Tessaiga's power & shields its wielder from the energy. Of course, the enemies of Tensaiga need not fear b/c the actual blade deals no physical damage.

Theory is that Tenseiga must've saved Toga's life once long before the events happened especially the fact that Tenseiga can only bring back the person's life once. With Tenseiga saving Sesshomaru once from Inuyasha's wind scar, maybe Sesshomaru wouldn't be so lucky this time if he were to become defeated by Inuyasha or by somebody else, but doubt he would ever die that too easily cause he's badass. 8)

Everyone thinks sesshomaru’s sword is the strongest and maybe it is in destructive power. But i do think inuyasha’s sword is by far the best sword in the show because it can absorb other techniques and make them its own. To be technical the shikon jewel is the strongest weapon So top 10 1 shikon jewel(can basically do any thing) 2 tessaiga(absorbs techniques from other weapons and demons) 3 sounga(basically open hell cause apacolypse) 4 tensiga(can bring back to life, destroy spirits, ghost, and pass through the land of the dead.) 5 kirnimarus sword(almost killed sesshomaru with it) 6 wind tunnel(suck up anything without poision 7 hirakots(can kill demons) 8 sacred arrow(based on the user can kill even high level demons) 9 nagignata of kenoon( i just like the weapon) 10 zero’s pearls
