I wouldn’t consider it abandonment. Swae Lee just has a unique voice, and wanted to expand his career as a solo artist. Just like Michael Jackson didn’t necessarily abandon his brothers. He had a unique gift, and branched away from the family to expand his career. And in both cases, branching away definitely worked out for the better.

divide and conquer, isolate and brainwash. mj made alot of money and people remember him, but people were constantly trying to control him and look how he died, being put to sleep medically just to find a way to get away from the life he achieved

Slim Jimmy wasn't wrong though. People just wanted him to be upset that Swae Lee was the much more popular of them too and wanted a negative reaction. I actually felt bad for both of them because people just wanted to see drama and animosity between them. Swae Lee doesn't get nearly as much credit for being a loyal brother.
@koganeitou
@koganeitou 8 ай бұрын
Exactly. People just feed off of drama, and instead of worrying about the music and supporting them, they want entertainment outside of that in their boring lives to the point they get obsessed with a celebrity's personal life, and they want that drama to sate their hunger, at their target's expense. And you can see it did negatively affect them and it's not that the brothers' bond was destroyed or anything, but it's self-fulfilled prophecy in the aspect of they basically kept Rae Sremmurd and mostly Slim Jxmmi in a negative light for so many years, like they had wanted for no valid or rational reason. And I hate the fan and hiphop culture for that. These two were young kings of hiphop, serious proteges. Extremely talented, both of them. One having fire melodies and being a great singer, with catchy but not annoyingly repetitive or redundant hooks or choruses, and the other having the stronger lyricism, in my opinion and many others I've talked to share the same opinion. But for the stupidest reasons, they fell into obscurity and are slept on, despite still having unique sound and great songs in their newest album. People saying Sr3mm was a poorly constructed album are out of their damn minds. And I think people are just cowards, looking at Sremm as the community punching bag, and they feel they have to give the album a low rating because they're afraid to catch heat and harassment themselves, or they just don't have the good taste for it. Everyone just wants everything to listen to to top the last. But the album was great in its own right, and it tells a really deep story while still having some actual bops, but nobody is open-minded or willing to give it an honest listen. Obviously if your mind is already made up on something, no matter what, you're going to have a bad experience and not like it. That's the power the mind has. So they just keep dogpiling. But I'm still a loyal Rae Sremmer every day for life unless they do something terrible and inhumane/evil like Travis Scott or others. I find it crazy someone like that is more popular and beloved than Rae Sremm when TS is okay with inciting crime and murder at his concerts... But I think this is long enough lol.. Again, you are 1000% correct and I hate how even in this video the guy just quickly glosses over the comment that said Jxmmi was underrated and is a great artist in his own right basically. But for over half the video, spending much longer on stuff that trashes him and says he isn't worth listening to in the music his duo that he's a strong and vital part of makes. It's wild to me, and again, I hate it. It definitely is him painting a narrative more. Because a positive video won't bring in the clicks. He doesn't have to care about Rae Sremmurd. It gives him nothing. He only has to care about entertaining an audience that wants negativity and drama and confirmation bias for 10 to 20 minutes before he just moves on. And if it's not the way he truly feels, and he likes/cares about them, that doesn't matter because all we are expected to judge off of is what's in this video and it's his job to be transparent and tell his truth. Okay. NOW I'm done hahaha

Whoever is reading this, I wanted to say I hope you have a great day and that God loves you so much that He sent His son, Jesus, to die on a cross for your sins and He rose again from the dead three days later. God Bless! And also, He doesn't want you to go to Hell, but He wants you to go to Heaven with Him but you have to be Saved. How do I get Saved you might ask? Here are the steps below on how to get Saved! 1. Believe that God sent His Son (Jesus) to die on a cross for your sins and that He rose again from the dead 3 days later. 2. Confess to Jesus that you are a sinner and ask forgiveness for your sins and Turn away from your sins. If you sin again after asking forgiveness of that sin, ask forgiveness again and try not to do it ever again. Jesus will forgive you! 3. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and your life and for Him to be your Lord and Savior forever. 4. Build a Personal Relationship with Jesus by Praying and Reading the Bible daily and Live for Him Forever. I'm Praying for you and you are loved (Romans 10:9-13))

People don't realize that even when an individual artist in a duo/group becomes more popular, their group projects will always be anticipated over solo projects. We've seen it with Rae Sremm and we've seen it with Migos. So I don't think Swae did 'Sremm 4 Life' out of pity. They probably actually missed creating together because the vibes weren't the same when solo.

Something I’ve learnt from the creative industry is that a lot of people are fake and will only value you for what you can do for them, so it’s always nice having a brother that you know loves you and actually gets you. Rae Sremmurd been my #1 since their first 2 projects, and to this day they’re still my favorite artists. You never know what’s behind the scenes, if Swae really had intentions of leaving but I don’t think that was a real threat ever. Even during their absence they said it over and over again that they’re together. Sremm 4 Life been in the making for years now, real fans remember they been teasing the release for years, and the drop been pushed back so many times, I remember the first time they mentioned it was around late 2021 close to new years. Maybe even before that but for sure by that time they was getting ready to drop the album. Which makes me think that the time between their 3rd album and their preperation for the 4th was not so long, for me it seems like their bond never loosened, they just dropped their 4th project too late. That hurt them a lot, waiting too long for the drop and loosing interest by a lot of listeners. That’s the reason their new album “flopped” which is understandable even tho this one is better than Sr3mm it just doesn’t have one hit song. I never found Fantano credible and I’m probably biased as a fan but Sremm 4 Life is definitely not a light 2 just because it didn’t have the hype as their previous albums.. I’m pretty sure he gave Sr3mm a higher rating, even tho it is not better the newest one

Looks to me nothing major departed them. Just the shifting of Swae being more sought after. They seemed like they were still good. Just living their lives as individuals. Swae was willing to put in work more work. Seemingly a little hungrier. The tragedy of their stepfather was sad. I never heard that story. I'm glad they are still a unified duo. You oldheads need to accept your era has reached a decline, only a handful of ur artists still pull numbers better than most new artists, wheres the so called "lonegevity" in the ones that dont, like 3-6? By proper logic, 3-6 fell off way harder than Rae Sremmurd ever did. Right now Rae Sremmurd is way more relevant than 3-6.

These dude are both legends of their times. I never did a deep dive into their music and mostly enjoyed whatever I heard on the radio or spotify playlists but every time they came on they put me in a vibe. People grow up, people grow apart, they started as a duo and I'm sure they still support each other but they both have lives to lead. People always looking for entertainment but what they are doing is no different from what you're doing with you and your old best friends, growing apart. Only difference is, they still making money TOGETHER.

There's a history of Swae Lee being the creative mind behind most tunes from the writing and directing. He was also the more popular/recognizable one of the duo due to his unique voice. Nothing wrong with going your separate ways because there's a ceiling to their success together and sadly that was reached.

Ngl, the timeline is definitely dramatized here. Being a huge Rae Sremmurd fan through 3, there wasn’t a huge news cycle about them breaking up or anything. There was never that impression like the video suggests. It just seemed like their brother killed their father, they dropped off the map for a few years, and when they came back the soundscape of rap had moved beyond them. Plus, Sremm3 never seemed like a “compromise”. Jimmy’s portion actually got a lot of acclaim for being consistent asf and I loved it. They were just doing the Outkast thing with Speakerboxx/The Love Below. They also had an insta video out at the time explaining how they did it that way to maximize both of their individual royalty profits. It was clearly intelligently done too, they had a whiteboard with diagrams and were explaining how it basically tripled what they each got and they essentially split the tripled amount with the way the credits were equally structured. Dont believe the hype on this too much

I was at the festival in Aus where they broke up, it basically happened because a bunch of fans rushed the duo for pics, more specifically rushed Swae Lee for pics, pretty much everyone with the exception of a few disregarding Jxmmi and that rubbed him the wrong way. That night they were meant to host an afterparty one of my close friends had organised, and that’s when you knew things weren’t right. They pulled up super late at separate times, in separate sections not interacting with each other. It’s crazy because I’d gone to their show a week or so prior and their energy was insane, interacting on stage, they even left in the same sprinter.

I had this sorta thing happen to me personally. I've always worked hard, stayed humble and kept my head down. In my late forties and early fifties seeds that I planted early on in my life started to produce some serious fruit. When I started to manifest blessings in the physical form (such as paying off my house, traveling internationally 2 to 3 times a year, buying and having my dream car shipped to ATL from Cali and retiring early) friends and family were all about me and my success and abundance. That was short lived and my best friend of 13 years became disrespectful, entitled and envious. Family minimized my success and did not even celebrate what I felt were some of the biggest accomplishments and milestones in anyone's life. Jealousy is a green eyed bish and nowadays I trust no one, keep to myself and enjoy my own company. I can honestly say that through it all I have always remained thankful and humble, it's those who feel that you should not rise above the level in which they see you at that are the problem. It's a classic case where the group is actually better than the individual parts. Swae Lee's voice hits way better when paired with someone with a raspy voice. That's why Sunflower did well, because Post Malone contrasts against Swae's tone. Jimmy does too in an underrated way. When a full song is Swae on the hook AND 2-3 verses from him, it just ends up coming off too soft. That's also why the Drake song didn't hit. He needs contrast. This reminds me of why Drake and 21 go well together. Even though 21 isn't truly great on his own, every softer rapper needs that foundation of a more boring, raspier rapper (Outcast being the OG example of this all, too).
