Not generally my type of music but this lesson is helpful. I've been looking to expand my playing skills beyond simple power chords and bar chords and my mom wants me to learn this. I'm gonna be watching this a lot to learn this song.

Very good instructions regarding the James Taylor version

Very clear, thanks. For the bass run (G, F, E, D) I'd start it from up the octave to keep the descending line unbroken.

About the bass run, I agree with you about the descending unbroken line. I'll have to play work with that and see what other options there are. I like the low notes though. It's that last D ... You're welcome Nessie.

I don't know how people are able to learn songs like this without a chord/lyric sheet. I assume most can not.

How do you get past the copyrights when selling leadsheets of the songs?
@quailstudios3 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael, under the radar? The lead sheets are my own. They are the notes that I have created over the years that I look at when I play these songs. They were not copied from any book or website. I share them with my students when teaching. To me they are pretty accurate. Whenever there is a song that I want to play I create these to help me by listening to original recordings or performances. Sometimes I make changes to fit my style. Thanks for asking.

tab?
@quailstudios5 жыл бұрын
I don't usually do a tab for songs that are strummed. There are chords on the screen and I DO show you right hand strumming... tabs take a long time to make. thanks for asking though Burundi.

Wish you would have spent some time talking about that left hand muting thing you’re doing.
