Love Kazu and his pictures - seems a super humble fella but he’s low-key building one of the strongest bodies of work of any photographer featured on this series - truly such a deft and subtle eye - look forward to buying his book one day - keep em comin Paulie!

He's different than a lot of walkie talkie shooter and seem to consider composite and situations more than running up on peeps in midtown which is cool but I dig his style. Go Kazu

This was one of my favourite walkie talkie episodes so far. I love what he said about the difference between composition in colour vs black and white. As soon as his images went up on screen you could see it made perfect sense. Some great shots on the day too - the woman lying down on the steps was particularly memorable. 👌

The tune the jazz band is playing about 4:44 in is a Sam Rivers tune called "Beatrice", if anyone is curious. NYC has to be the only place in the world you can hear a street band playing Sam Rivers. Miss that town. Great video!! Love this series, I'm hooked.

Back again, Today I made an amazing discovery in this video at 0:50 a woman walk by in the frame, she looked familiar. That's because she was ALSO in a walkie-talkie, in Trevor Wisecup Walkie Talkie at 6:55 Trevor Photographs her.

I've watched about 10 or so of these films and what I find so interesting is how all their characters are so different from each other but all are incredibly articulate in their own way, though are lot of the credit must also go to Paulie B here for his interview style and editing work.

When fly fishing, you attempt to choose the fly (decorative hook) that most closely resembles what the fish are choosing to eat at the moment. The fish are hiding in slower water (behind rocks for example) as to not wade through fast currents which overheats them or makes them work to hard. They are simply catching a quick glimpse of the fly (or your hook) - the one they are eating - and ignoring everything else. Without a thought, they pop into the faster water, momentarily, to grab it. What Kazu said about knowing what you are looking for in a picture must help so much with regard to your timing of the subject/light/moment of capture. I.e., "boom, there it is" (snap). That is going to be difficult to train for and something I really need to work on.

How do these street photographers not get beat down and their camera's taken? Either way, thank you for sharing and inspiring me. Maybe I'll get my but out there and "give it a shot." Respects.
