I get a sales pitchy vibe from this. After he listed his credentials, I then realized exactly why he was so successful in this. With that background and his understanding of his market then absolutely there's no reason why he shouldn't be winning. Great video!

Yes! This is exactly why we teach what we teach inside of our Sync Titan community. There are particular ways to go about things that work and there are ways that don't work. 95% of musicians are going about it the wrong way!

Yooo!!! This is NUTS to hear that he went to CRAS in Phoenix!!! I almost had the opportunity to go there when I lived out in PHX years ago with my Grandmother and we both did a tour of the school there and had a blast of how they teach music there and all the ins and outs of how things are made for movies and engineering courses!!! God rest her soul but that was one of the key memories with my Grandmother and I when we once lived in Arizona together which I actually fueled the urge to get my GED through this free program I was going to at the time so I can actually get into CRAS and have that knowledge to become an intern at any studio in the nation right after which CRAS has a huge helping hand in setting up right after you finish from their school.. Wow that was super crazy to hear the name of that school after soo many years..

I’m not with this idea, takes a lot away from the creative side but at the same time I’m glad this musicians been getting revenue, helps he’s won awards as an engineer and has those connections. Not shitting on the base idea but not many folks have the time to do this.

I share the same sentiment; there's a risk of reducing ourselves to mere production machines, sacrificing creativity in the process.

You have to really come from a background where you're use to doing salesman work. I truly think the music these guys make is dictated filler music that increases network views. Then I'm not with paying these music licensing coaches either. Nothing is guaranteed in this industry. I'll continue to do music for my personal enjoyment and circle of friends while running my appliance repair business.

To me, even when they talk about creating sync music it sounds insane, or a robotic existence, but wow I guess they make a lot of money. I have 130 minutes total in two solo piano albums I sold 4,000 CD's back when CD's were on their way out and never toured or advertised. I'm digging them up and wondering if there are services where they would go through it all and pull out short sync pieces that I could sell. Is there such a service? It's all solo acoustic piano. I'm also thinking of trying to sell them in the digital distribution realm. What would be a better idea, sell them in the digital market or the sync market or to do both? Also the machine like sounding element to this how vulnerable are musicians in the sync realm to be highly effected by the emergence of AI?
@tapeexperiments8 ай бұрын
Here is my free advice, so take it for what it’s worth! 😂Don’t worry about AI right now. On your piano music,do both -distribute digitally and try to license. I would do the editing yourself or hire someone if it’s not in your wheelhouse.
@mwj53688 ай бұрын
@@tapeexperiments Thanks very much for taking the time with me plus from your insider knowledge as I know nothing about this area of music. I think I blew it with CDbaby as maybe my email was too long and too many questions. They never answered my email as I wanted to ask some questions before sending my solo piano albums to them. I still sell my piano CD's once in a great while. I keep cards and letters from people who like my music on my apartment wall as positive affirmations. So you are saying I should try to find someone like CDbaby or maybe DistroKid? I read that CDbaby will try to do several things with your music that DistroKid and Submithub etc... the others don't do and I think it's that "license" part of it you're talking about. I copyrighted both of my albums years ago. They sold out in 2007 and a few years later a friend said burn them on my computer and sell those. I don't have as much money any more so too costly having more made, plus Oasis CD Manufacturing ripped me off $600 as with both albums I paid more to have them "single speed Glass Mastered" meaning they burned onto a 12 inch in diameter master glass CD they said they keep in "permanent storage". I found out the hard way that wasn't true at all. I was going to have 300 CD's made and they told me to mail one of my manufactured CD's so they could make a copy. I told them I paid $300 for each album to have them "single speed glass mastered" then they cut me off and wouldn't respond, or in other words stole my money. One thing they did say is a CD is digital and all ones and zeros and no degradation. They sure didn't tell me that when they sold me in the beginning with both albums at $300 each. Now they avoid me. What do you mean by "license"? Is that different than copyright? I really appreciate your response. I'm hoping my albums sell so I can get out of my rut of just subsisting on meager funds. Thanks for any input!

🤔 not sure what you mean by that exactly… Do you think this “musician” is not a musician because he creates content for films TV shows and promos?? I believe recently he posted that he’s up to 1000 placements. That’s an amazing accomplishment for any musician. I’m curious to learn more about where you’re coming from please let me know…
@toratora900914 күн бұрын
@@EliteMusicCoaching The problem is that you actually know what i meant. These category of musicians though i cant blame them as theyre trying to make a living work to 'briefs'. like factory made oreos. on the other hand chopin, hendrix, van halen, eri c clapton, or any greats didnt work to a 'brief' like custom makin something for a 'placement'. that is why these guys are good at business but will never be great or remembered.

Now I get it…I’m going to share some names with you of extremely talented musicians, some of whom have made careers off of creating music for film, tv and commercials - others who were smart enough to say yes when it came to licensing songs for projects…you have probably heard of many of them: Musicians: 1. The Rolling Stones 2. The Beatles (Paul McCartney, John Lennon) 3. Bob Dylan 4. Beyoncé 5. Jay-Z 6. Radiohead (Thom Yorke) 7. Adele 8. Coldplay 9. Led Zeppelin 10. Sia 11. Imagine Dragons 12. Nick Cave 13. Johnny Cash 14. Moby 15. Billie Eilish 16. Fleetwood Mac 17. Pharrell Williams 18. The Black Keys 19. Daft Punk 20. Eminem 21. U2 22. Lana Del Rey Composers: 1. Hans Zimmer 2. Trent Reznor 3. John Williams 4. Ennio Morricone 5. Danny Elfman 6. Howard Shore 7. Alexandre Desplat 8. Ludwig Göransson 9. James Newton Howard 10. Thomas Newman 11. Max Richter 12. Ramin Djawadi 13. Alan Silvestri 14. Michael Giacchino 15. Hildur Guðnadóttir 16. Philip Glass 17. Cliff Martinez 18. Marco Beltrami 19. Jerry Goldsmith 20. Bernard Herrmann

@@EliteMusicCoaching Nopes. Youre simply putting folks who do that for a living. And comparing that second list to writers nowadays is not even a comparison. the first list of bands is simply publishing deals. And a lot of them arent done by the artist. its done by their mgmt especially after 2010. Putting jerry goldsmith and hans zimmer on the same platform as youtuber composers i dont know- that doesnt really sound like a comparison even musically.
