Taron is so bloody fantastic in this movie! I've always liked Elton's music, but Taron brought a special kind of passion to it that I've rarely seen an actor do. Totally agree. Taron's quite a talent. Like most I really enjoyed his work in the first Kingsmen movie, but I wasn't sure he'd turn out to be such a versatile and talented actor/performer. Let's hope he steers clear of Robin Hood-quality films in future and puts his abilities to good use. It would be odd to see the star of this years musical biopic win, after last year. But it's not unimaginable. He has the talent (not that Hollywood's particularly about that!), and the Academy does love a true story, and drama with a hint of redemption. And Taron is white, so that's in his favour (I'm joking, I think the actor, from what I've seen, appears deserving and a good fit for the award).

It's all a bit loud for my taste. Call me boring but I'm more of a fan of The Kingsmen 'uniform'. Which isn't too different from the attire of Bond or Wick as it happens. What I find most impressive is how much these guys do in clothing that I find only suitable for standing upright and walking at a casual pace. Any other form of movement makes me wish I was wearing anything else (well not literally, as I don't think I have the personality for Elton's style, and I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable with the attention his clothing would attract). I'm more a disappear-in-a-crowd kinda guy. I'd make a terrible popstar. Or I'd look as dull as Brian Ferry!

If we're to ignore past biopics of musicians and say, stick with the theme of English 70/80s musicians, I'd say David Bowie has to be next. @quantumjet2535 жыл бұрын
@@emmafichter8744 Interesting. Just looked it up and it appears to be going a slightly different route than that of the Elton John and Freddie Mercury films. It's going to centre on a very specific time-frame within Bowie's career, and (for me at least) the time around his best music. I've actually seen a documentary that covers this period when he first arrived to tour America; if you're interested I'd highly recommend checking it out, dunno it's name, sorry, but it's a fascinating insight into Bowie, the man behind the performer. I've not heard of the lead actor for Stardust but interestingly he does have a musical background. But you've got to wonder how this will compare to Rocket Man and Bohemian Rhapsody! Let's hope it's lives up to those and proves to be another interesting journey into one of music's biggest and most influencial stars! Makes you wonder if Pop/Rock star biopics will end up rivalling the Marvel Cinematic Universe in sheer number and popularity!? Yeah, maybe not, although a team-up movie (admittedly a complete work of fiction) with David, Freddie and Elton, and whoever else joins this movie-universe, in a super group battling stars of Death Metal or Country would be... erm... maybe not! Anyway, thanks for the heads up. I'm very curious to see how Stardust turns out.

English doesn't have the moral authority on how Letters should be Pronounced. If anything, it's the other way around seeing how Welsh was using this alphabet several centuries before the English. But hey, ignorance is Bliss. Oh, and btw....its not a difficult language to learn. Y and W are vowels, DD produces a TH sound. English is harder to learn than Welsh!!! I always thought taron would play Elton John ever since he did I'm still standing in the animation picture sing I could feel the same energy from both of them and I felt taron done this perfectly well. I have enjoyed a lot of his films recently and have found him to be quite an amazing actor 😊

I loved rocketman, me and my mom went to see that, and we were actually Impressed how the movie potrayed his life and thanks to Taron. Altought, i have to be, serious, i went to the cinema for Taron and my mom loves Elton John so we went for that😂😂 But out of the cinema, we were impressed and very happy. I am very glad Taron and Elton exist.

If you've not already seen them, search for 'Taron Egerton Graham Norton show'. It's an English chat show, and the host is really good at making guests feel comfortable. It's very lighthearted and the guests always seem to be relaxed and have fun (except Madonna recently, but she's a bit of an oddity these days). I saw a few recently and if you're a fan of Taron's I think you'll enjoy him on this show.

I wonder of this movie idea came from Kingsman 2. Elton John had a cameo in that

slim shady no, it did not. The idea to make a biopic about Elton John did not come from Kingsman, and neither did Edgerton being cast as Elton. Elton had his heart set on Taron playing him after hearing him sing one of his songs in the movie ‘Sing’
