What a great communicator. He's well spoken, clearly intelligent and has a good understanding of the subject but does seem to talk at you like most people when there put on camera. But most importantly he seems like some you would want to have a beer with. Now the worlds press are looking at Australia please put people like him out front.

This has answered some of the questions I have been thinking about. How are all these rescue organisations feeding all the animals in their care when all the food has been consumed by fire?

"It's 25 years to create a viable habitat for koalas." Nick is wonderful; isn't he? Reports from biologists have been that koalas will be extinct by 2050, and these studies were done before the huge bush fires of this winter (in the northern hemisphere; it has been summer in Australia). As a US citizen, I feel the Bern . . . . I'm an old fogey boomer for Bernie. If I was 18, I'd love to become a Green New Deal worker to plant trees in Australia to restore koala habitat.

I so respect him and him teams intelligence! Its very easy to look at a Koala with their big bottoms and black noses and think yes....a live teddy bear! What he is describing is that they may have a role as gatekeepers of the Eucalyptus trees and all of the nature beneath them! I believe Koalas are pretty smart and have figured us out which is why they decide to live right at the top of the trees where we can't bother them! I also believe that they are not going to give the game away! They know how stupid we humans can be but I believe that they are extremely thankful and grateful for our help!

Australia as a whole won’t let their iconic and unique wildlife fade without a fight. ❤️❤️🇦🇺❤️❤️🙏🏻🇦🇺🇦🇺🙏🏻 once all the fires are done and gone, and new plant growth comes back, that country will be stunning and teeming with life again! They just need a break from fires, floods, hail, dust storms n I hope like hell they don’t have Coronavirus there on top of that! ❤️❤️🇦🇺❤️❤️
