That's not true. Audience cannot change their taste. Tamil audience are not presented with commercial cinema at all. That's their loss. Audience has no control over the contents of the film. they only get to see what they are offered or presented before their eyes. That's the reason why Tamil audience have moved to appreciating films like KGF, RRR and other industry films. Tamil audience are innocent and have no choice but to watch the films that they are presented before their eyes.

But ఆ సమయంలో తెలుగు సినిమాలకి తమిళ్ లో మార్కెట్ ఉండేది కాదు.... తెలుగు లో రిలీజ్ ఐనా గొప్ప సినిమాలు అన్ని, ఇక్కడే రిలీజ్ చేసుకొని, ఇక్కడ వచ్చిన కలెక్షన్స్ తోనే మనం తొడలు కొట్టుకునే వాళ్ళం కానీ, అప్పటి దర్శకులు, నిర్మాతలు & హీరోలు తెలుగు సినిమా స్థాయిని మార్కెట్ ని పెంచే ఆలోచనలు చేసేవారు కాదు... 1970s నుంచి తెలుగులో కూడా గొప్ప దర్శకులు ఉండేవారు... ex. It is not crores define an industry.. variety of movies are still amazing in tamil. They fell on the pasam factor. All movies based on either family love, farmer loveor some other kind of love.. apart from rajamouli, and some other directors or actors are like advi shesh or allu is giving variety content in Telugu. I am a keralite i love malayalam cinema . We grew up watching tamil movies we always felt Telugu movies are less relatable appart from some famous flicks. Making masala movies and generating money with it is not sustainable. It happened to mollywood once they corrected it. It happened in tamil, they are in the correction process.. it even happenned to Bollywood for a long time, they are not still realising it. Masala films are not sustainable, because it makes movie predictable.
