You guys should look into the fishing guide licensing for Maryland. It is very restrictive and turns into a monopoly for those who hold one. After several attempts the lowest sale price I could manage was 10k for a license that costs 100$ a year because the state allows this.

So they get to use tax payers property to make a self profit. They have less overhead and aren't subject to the same taxation. Those businesses pay a hefty tax and rent to be where they are and if food trucks had to pay the same, they wouldn't survive. If you want to be free to compete, you have to have an even playing field. The regulations even the playing field. They want fair but not willing to pay the costs. That's wrong and this suit is wrong. 12 spots, fair competition for those spots. Even playing field. Then, let's get into the minimum wage. Trucks will need to do the same. Even playing field.

Imagine you are a restaurant with a $3,500+ monthly lease where you have a food truck park out front siphoning sales, those patrons using your bathroom facilities, and parking nearby designated for your establishment. While I don't agree with how heavy handed the government is cracking down on food trucks but we have to admit both sides are being unreasonable on demands.

+Satoru If people are using your bathrooms, you're right to stop that. Likewise, if your parking spaces are being occupied illegally, have those cars towed. Food truck vendors have their own challenges that you do not. It strikes me that you're fighting each other rather than focusing on the government regulations that make it expensive to operate a business with employees and the red tape that keeps food trucks out of business.
