I traded my 2021 TRD Army Green for a 2024 TRD Off Road Premium. Initial decision I thought was difficult. However, I must say I lov everything so far with the ‘24! “ Rob more throttle lag or gear hunting!👍🏻

Have had my TRD Off road for about six weeks. Less than 2,00 miles on it and averaging close to 23 mpg. Stock tires -- 265/70/17. Just put a topper on it so mileage may change. No issues. Love the way it handles and rides.

Towing my camper trailer from Tok to Fairbanks today, driving at 60-65mph was getting 16mpg with my 24 trd off road. Bed is loaded with gear adding another 500 lbs. I’m pretty happy with that, much improved over my 22 trd. Due to the improved 8 speed granny and tow haul mode.

Have2024 trd sport . 8000 kms (5000 miles ) No issues. Way more comfortable seating position and refined ride. Been a hot summer and having ventilated seats is a nice bonus! Not to take away from the 3rd gen , which I traded in for this one. Loved my 3rd gen too.

Rob have a problem with software after towing. No issues towing but once the trailer is removed you get a warning in dash about the Driver Assist issue and trailer connection. The truck shows a little red truck with a red circle on the dash, in the bottom right corner. Can't get the vehicle back to normal. Nothing you do can get it back to normal unless you get a warning about trailer being still attached. It says yes or no answer and if you answer yes, it will go back. My truck is stuck with this issue, and it seems to be a software problem. Called dealer and I'm bringing it in on sat. It's a 24 Tacoma issue, when you tow. Also, had a tranny issue when I was backing my boat in the water. I stopped and it seemed to be in neutral, so I put it back in park and then reverse and it worked fine. No clue with that's all about. You might want to tow something to see if you get this tow issue. Dealer talked to Toyota rep about this issue. Toyota needs a software reboot on this issue. I tried everything to go back to normal with no luck.

Do you have a basic OBD II scanner? Perhaps that disappearing message may have left a code?

Are those the upgraded TRD wheels? And also, are your larger tires hurting fuel efficiency compared to what the stock wheels/ tires? Just curious. Im looking to purchase a new Tacoma . Trading in my Supra… just not practical for me at all. Fun car but too expensive on insurance .

They are the TRD black wheels. The tires are marginally larger. Not enough to make a real difference.

Still running good and no issues to complain about with the Trd Sport 4x4 AT .........if any problems present I'll be the first to complain....😉

I do like your program and the mods and information that you put out. Keep up the good work. Remember that you can't make everyone happy and if you do, then you are not doing your job right. I am 70 years old now and I have test drove the TRD sport premium and I really like it. The screen doesn't bother me at all. The improvements that they made to the 24 model are really nice I think.
