Just think most of the so called stars that Mj faced didn’t even have one national commercial, while a MJ was retired they were still pushing him every commercial break. NBA commercial with MJ highlights, then MJ McDonald’s commercial, then MJ Hanes commercial, then MJ Gatorade commercial, then MJ Sneaker commercial, then another NBA Commercial with more MJ highlights all while this dude was retired. @@TalentedMisterHeat8boyy stop. Jordan always was and is better than Pipp at almost everything and Pipp is damn good-great at most things. That also says something about MJ, but anyways it’s like this Pipp moved back to his role because the results were tried and true even he knew. Though Pipp was great enough in his own right to lead a team, just not to a championship on his own. And no i don’t think MJ won on his own in either. Obviously someone has to sacrifice, but in a healthy relationship it’s usually the one who understands his slight cut below the greater. I.E DWade to Lebron.. Steph to KD

The Batman and Robin argument is hilarious. All Rashad and Arenas focus on is individual production, ignoring when Kobe was leading without Shaq he went 55-47. Flip that, without Kobe, Shaq went 37-8. I understand it’s hard to give the main position back up, but when the results clearly show you should, either you do it or admit you care more about individual recognition than winning, which is exactly what Kobe did in 03 and 04. We saw how that worked out

It’s hard to give power when u kno u have the abilities to be greater than what they say u are. What most remember about Kareem is the balding head and Bald Kareem, and forget he was extremely athletic for his size, agile and strong, an athletic anomaly. A young Kareem was something special to watch. Unfortunately the NBA didn’t dis good job of filming its history… prior to the 80’s… Kareem played half of his 20 seasons with Magic. He was still great even late in his career, winning a Finals MVP at age 38. He wasn’t on his way out. There have always been dynamic duo’s in the NBA, and the narrative of Batman and Rodman was around even before Magic and Kareem… especially during the era when the Television series “Batman” aired in the 60’s and 70’s. Sportswriters, Radio Broadcasters, TV analysts, and fans have always “hyped” up these Batman and Rodman duo’s… ain’t much new under the sun.

@hardwoodthought1213 , They don't win those series without Kobe who often finished/closed games out because Shaq was in foul trouble and/or couldn't be on the floor because he couldn't hit free throws. I know what I'm talking about. Obviously, you don't..

LeBron is the best player to ever play for the Heat but there's a reason why the say Wade County because Wade is or at least was seen as the greatest Miami Heat Player. Although I agree, all that bs away from the sport tarnished his rep

Exactly so this argument is pointless. Russ couldn’t lead OKC past the first round in the playoffs as Batman.

Kd couldn't pass the first round in brooklyn and got SWEPT in the first round. The only place where kd had success was when he joined a 73-9 team. Slmost every team, when they lost their best player usually they don't make the playoff. Look what happened when shaq left the first year, or what happened when LeBron left everytime. But russ kept okc relevant despite a really poor roaster. Get the 6 seed and won the mvp. Russ is not perfect but come on. Kd hasn't done shit when he was the bus driver of the team

Only time KD “successfully” lead a team he joined an already primed Warriors team who would’ve been in the finals regardless. He didn’t lead OKC to a ring, Nets, and now the Suns. All of that efficiency stuff is cute but he never showed leadership when it was needed
