Mahomes is the total package QB. I've never seen a gunslinger throw from so many angles and positions as he does. Even Favre couldn't do some of the throws we've seen from PM. And I believe PM is a better scrambler and runner than Favre was. In fact the only QB that I've seen extend plays better than Mahomes was probably Mike Vick, who had the advantage of being not just the fastest QB in the NFL but the fastest runner period.

Kelce's spatial awareness is off the charts. It's like he has 360 degree vision. People are always like "why aren't they covering Kelce?" but they are covering him! I think this is the super bowl which will get me into football. I never watched it much growing up, I'm from Maine so growing up it was just "oh, cool, we won again" every year for like a decade straight. But this game was nuts. Everyone talks about the hold penalty, but the only reason it mattered so much was because it was 35-35 with 2 minutes left on the clock. The play where Hurts fumbled the ball and KC swooped in and ran it in for a touchdown was one of the craziest things I've ever seen.

good point,a lot of people want the Superbowl to come down to just that one play but overlook the fact that Philadelphia was up by ten points at the half and allowed KC to come back, took a TD away from KC by saying a receiver never caught what was clearly a catch and Harrison Butker missed what should have been a chip shot field goal for him, Philly got outplayed in the second half of the Superbowl and lost.

Great film breakdown! This second half especially was an offensive masterclass by Andy Reid, Eric Bienemy and Patrick Mahomes. They did anything they wanted and marched down the field every time they touched the ball. They gained 221 of 228 possible yards in the second half and that is AFER kneeling before the final field goal. The corn dog play at the goal line is just incredible scouting and execution and it worked to perfection twice in the fourth quarter of a Super Bowl.

Great video. The idea that the Eagles were robbed by a bad call is ridiculous. One it was holding - twice. Two, a spearing by Gardner-Johnson on Pacheco - clear leading with the helmet - was ignored, despite Pachecho being severely shaken up, as were many false starts on the inside of the Eagles' O-line. Three, the Eagles' defense was flat outplayed all around. They got ROLLED. Great win, great game.
@JohnWickIsAlive Жыл бұрын
Please explain the false starts by the eagles offensive live. One by one. And if its anything with Lane Johnsons cadence with the snap, that has been thouroughly debunked already. I'll tell you about an offensive tackle that was definitely getting away with murder that night. And that would be Wiley. He was MAULING Reddick, and not remotely in a legal way either lol. Old guy here. It is NOT the officials job to disregard oblivious violations of the rules, so the fans can have a more entertaining game! People complain about the leagues “fixing” games. To ignore a blatant foul is just that, it’s fixing games. Get over it. The refs saw it, Mahomes pointed it out, and the DB admitted it later. People seem to forget that Brady made a career of very type of play. Throwing passes just like this to exposure defensive players who GRAB and WRAP his receivers. It's crazy how majority of the points that he covered in this video, these teams did. The eagles dominated the first half by their dominant run game and giving Jalen Hurts time in the pocket. The eagles controlled the ball and had many methodical drives. They surprisingly gave the chiefs only eight positions. In the second half the chiefs took advantage of the gaps of the cover 6, used the mismatches in man, and used lots of motioning and RPO in the red zone. Both teams were slipping because of the horrible choice of grass but it didn't really matter in the long run. This super bowl was one of the better ones in past years.

Another great video. I wish my Eagles had won, and that we could've instead been watching a video of the masterful performance of Jalen Hurts. One of KC's QBs said that it was OC Bieniemy who identified Philly's vulnerability to that motion-trickery in the red zone. He correctly noted that they weren't confirming the motion before handing off their assignment. Sigh. I expected plenty of Mahomes magic, but blown assignments were an embarrassing way to lose a Super Bowl. Unless you're Brady or Mahomes, opportunities to claim a spot in history don't come along every year. It was a sad end for a special team.

This has got to be some of the best, most competent analysis I've seen and proves that the Eagles really weren't as good as everyone says. They weren't tested and I'm sorry, their defense is not the best. Chiefs had the ball for 24 minutes compared to the Eagles 34 minutes (give or take a minute for both) and yet the Chiefs still scored 38 to their 25. That's 1.58 points per minute for the chiefs versus .97 of a point per minute for the Eagles.
@harrymills2770 Жыл бұрын
Wylie definitely had a good game. That loss to Tampa Bay, he was playing LT. He wasn't terrible at RT, earlier that year. I'm not sure Wylie holds up as well as he did on a better field. Regardless of that, he got so much help on so many plays, KC wasn't relying on him for too much, and they picked their spots. They still lined him up, 1-on-1 a fair number - a surprising number - of times, but I think that the help he got the rest of the time and the plays they called when he WAS 1-on-1, took a lot of starch out of the PHI pass rush. I wonder if they re-sign him to start at RT or if they sign him to more of a 6th-man contract. Wiley's wily. I love the idea of him as the first man off the bench at 4 of the 5 spots, although LT is a bit of a stretch. Front side with frequent chip help? Blind side? Not so much. On the officiating, they're probably right to be a bit conservative about making any changes. Including instant replay more than they do, already, could slow down the game. I think they could do it, but you have to remember that the officials don't WANT to, and they'll screw it up.

The first reverse motion TC, it looked like the corner was suppose to take #1 after the motion man became #2 and the man on #2 was rolling back to be the free. Instead, they both look like they are rolling back. I would say that is a mental mistake on responsibility between one of them and overall not keeping eyes on receivers. On the second reverse motion, it looks like the defender simply looses sight of his man. The motion is part of it, but I think it was the chiefs taking advantage of poor switch communication on the side the receiver that goes in motion originally started on.

If you watch, on most plays (I think the Poster makes a reference to it) you'll see the Chiefs use that Jet Motion on almost every play. Even if the play was a simple hand-off up the middle. They would run a WR all the way across the formation. They observed what the Eagles would do. Over and over again. The Corndog Play was an RPO (Run, Pass, Option). Mahomes looks to see if that DB continues across the Def Formation chasing the WR's motion, which the Eagles has done pretty much all game. Chiefs picked the perfect time to use that Zip Route for the TD.

Great analysis, good video ... but calling that late game mahomes scramble a 3rd down play when it was obviously a 1st down scramble makes me question you lol... you knew what down it was lol, sounds doper if it was a 3rd down run tho

People still talking about the grab at the end as “ticky-tack”. Maybe, but I agree with Colin Cowherd’s illustration about exceeding the speed limit by 8 mph with an officer standing by. You gave the officer the option to stop you. He gambled and lost. A well coached DB never should give the ref that option. If you get beat don’t cheat. Like marvelous Marvin Hagler used to say “You have to take the fight decision out of the hands of the judges.”

They should make it a prio to keep that line intact

If the NFL takes anything from the XFL again, please let it be the transparency for officials. Seeing and hearing confirmation on ball placement, calls being verified, quick rule discussions, and when a play is reviewed, we see what is exactly is being reviewed, why, what the specific rules are, if they can sufficiently overturn a call, or not. The other thing is the 2 min stop clock rule.

Juju made a scene after the no call on that first one. So just a crazy theory here, but maybe the refs were alerted to bad no call, and then looked for it... ya know, as to not miss another.

except it took all game? no just luck of the draw as a lot of calls were not made

Just so you know, that was Bieniemy who found that wrinkle at the goalline. Make sure you give EB some credit

I forget who predicted it but someone said much like Bellichick's winning defensive formula against the chiefs for years, if you don't completely take Kelce out of the game, you are going to have a bad time against the chiefs. But then Andy added a running game in the second half. I'm not sure even a vaunted Patriots defense could stop what Andy and Patrick did in the second half. Eagles were the best defense, and their easy schedule allowed Reid to eventually expose it in the biggest game.

Just to be fair, The Eagles Schedule was only easy in the Pre-Seasons Strength of Schedule. (Depending of which Site/Stats you use) Pre-Season Sos - #3 (High as #2) End of Season SoS - #27 (Low as #29) Strength of Schedules are solely based on Previous Years Win/Loss Records. They don't take into account: New Players, Coaches, ect. Pre-Season SoS is only good to give people something to try to talk about.
